As a quilter, I was very excited to visit this museum, and although it was smaller than I expected it to be, they had a lovely mix of antique quilts, modern SAQA exhibition, fabric, store area, and excellent reference materials. When our daughter and SIL visited a couple years ago they could not take pictures, but now you can take pictures of all the exhibits. While there are traditional quilts, they do have a nice mix of old and new. As a nice bonus, you can pick up lunch in the area and eat right next to their really beautiful garden area, complete with a picnic spot overlooking the garden. We're looking forward to going again, as their exhibits rotate regularly.

The displays turn over quarterly so worth visiting often. All in one level but quite an array of quilts. They are very well done and the intricate designs are pretty amazing. Takes about 1 hour to go through.

Short pretty drive from Houston thru the Bluebonnet and Paintbrush wildflowers. This museum is lovely. The space really accomodated the fabric art presented. The staff were very helpful. Fascinating exhibition of detailed workmanship. I especially appreciated the hand quilted pieces. Set right off the town square close to several cafes and eclectic shops. The adjacent garden was Very colorful. I will definitely return

Went to see a variety of quilts, saw several old quilts with patriotic themes.

Most of the museum had items of womens movements. Lots of new quilts that seemed to have photos on them. Some of the quilts did not even seem to be quilts to me.

Those old quilts showed some great craftsmanship and techniques. Loved looking at the quality of there work and design. There were probably about 24-32 old quilts.

All the rest were new and as I said, were for women rights.

Totally blown away by the quilts on exhibit! Winners (about 20?) from the 2013 IQF in Houston. Knowledgeable docent who showed me the back of a quilt I was admiring. They have new exhibits very 3 months. A great day trip from the Houston area!

A wonderful selection of quilts! From the fanciful to the abstract, the quilts are displayed in three rooms. When walking in, the main room has balconies around three sides with quilts hung from the second floor on two sides. More quilts line this room with a separate gallery in the back and to one side. These are not your Granny's quilts! From portraits to street scenes to wind chargers, these quilts display a staggering amount of artistry! The building has a sufficiently antique feel to provide an interesting back drop. There are knowledgable volunteers as well as a small gift area. Displays change quarterly.

Beautiful quilt exhibit but soooo much more! The build and it's architecture and small gift shop area offering great items. But hands-down the best feature was the two staff who gave us so much information that really allowed us to appreciate what we were looking at. Will return again with the new exhibit, historic quilts this September.

My wife quilt. Very well and she like it. I just go to these kind of place with her. I have been in diff Quilt show in Texas and this museum is smaller and I can find better, biggest and more amazing Quilts in the Quilt shows than here. Really dissapointed

This quilt museum presents traveling exhibits that are outstanding, including exhibits from the International Quilt Festival in Houston. Next door you'll find a quilt shop that is an excellent place to shop.

The quilts were so beautiful, some looked like paintings and landscapes. Very interesting and fun to explore. A little high for a short museum visit ($8) but I'm glad I did it.
