This was the 4th time I've visited the museum and I've never been disappounted. They change out the exhibits every 3 months, so you don't see the same thing twice. It's always a treat to see the beautiful art quilts displayed. I wish it was bigger!

Beautiful historic building in downtown La Grange houses the ever-changing quilt exhibits. While not an overwhelming number of quilts are on display, they run the full gamut from artistic and story-telling to historic patterns and fabrics. Even the husbands liked the visit!

Located centrally between Austin, San Antonio and Houston, the Texas Quilt Museum is a wonderful detour for those interested in textiles. Three high-ceiling rooms are lined with exhibits that rotate every three months. Only five years old, the Museum is small but well worthwhile. Both visitors and quilts come from all over the world. Of the three rooms, two held... More

I'm not a quilter but the collection was impressive. Different styles were showcased and it was worth the stop.

Only open certain days of the week; the quilts are hung vertically around room walls; quilts are changed out every so often.

Wow. I just kept walking around saying, "Wow." There are so many amazing quilts in here, and they change from time to time. If you're in LaGrange, they're down on the square and there are good places to eat and other things to see and do. It's definitely worth a stop, and I'll go back again when I am able.

A charming museum in a beautiful historic building. Beautifully displayed, beautifully made quilts, from traditional styles to a traveling show of very modern unique styles. Reasonable admission fee-especially for seniors. The charming lady working was very friendly and knowledgeable. Informative but let us look at our leisure. She told us the displays change every 3 months so we will be... More

What a great museum that has every aspect covered to make it wonderful place to visit! The staff (a fellow tripadvisor reviewer also) was very helpful with not only the museum but also informative about the local area. The museum itself is in a historic building that seems to be perfect for the display of the quilts. The pieces are... More

The Texas Quilt Museum is second to none with the collection it houses. The restored building and gardens is the perfect setting to showcase antique and art quilts. Easy access for guests makes it an even more enjoyable visit.

Small town Texas. They have a gem just waiting to be discovered. This is a must visit place for any quilter. The place is not huge, but has it charms. The building was built in 1898 and was a furniture store in the early 1900's. They have retained and rehabbed the interior maintaining its authenticity.
