No Way is this a Vineyard!!!
Feb 2021
Definition of Vineyard: "a plantation of grapevines, typically producing grapes used in winemaking." Nothing could be further from the truth! This is just a wine shop, overpriced and they get away with it because they are in a tourist area by the Kemah Boardwalk. I've been twice and won't return. I've visited over 350 wineries in my lifetime and this ranks in the bottom 5. Their tastings and bottles are way overpriced. They specialize in fruity wines that cost $25.00 each. Far more than most wineries.

Disappointing
Aug 2019 • Couples
While visiting Kemah, we noticed they had a winery. Being people who enjoy trying new wines and learning about them, we ventured over.
We were the only people there at 5ish pm on a Friday. The girl who greeted us was pleasant and sat us down with our placemats to make our selections ($25 per person to sample 3 wines (approx 2oz each and then one glass to have after the tasting).
She brought in our wine selections and left.
The wines were syrup and we didn’t enjoy a single one...but hey, you don’t always like all the wines in a tasting, so that’s not even the issue.
The issue was we just paid $50 for a winery tasting and nobody was even in there with us explaining anything about the wines AT ALL.
We asked the girl working about this and she told us that she wasn’t the person who did that and she didn’t really know that much about the wines.

For the first time ever in my life, I asked for a refund.
The wines were undrinkable but more than that, there was zero “experience”.
They only charged us for one and we tipped her $10.
But I would say unless you’re with a group or do the full winery tour (and we are only guessing these would be better), save your money and just spend the $50 on a nice bottle :)
Ps- the decor was very cute

Stomping the Yard
Jul 2018
Had great fun stomping the grapes. Great atmosphere, live band, also the food's not bad. If you haven't done this before, you should try it.

Wine Tasting
Feb 2019 • Friends
Went with a friend for a wine tasting yesterday on my birthday and it was so good. So many good wines to choose from. I can't say which is my favorite because I loved the port, the pomegranate, and the blackberry wine! We have been wanting to check his place out but always went at the wrong time. They are now open 7 days a week so it will be easier for everyone to enjoy their place. They have a nice indoor area upstairs and a good patio area for when it warms up. Glad we went and would definitely go back. Right behind T-Bone Toms in Kemah.

Never Treated As Bad Anywhere Else
Feb 2018 • Couples
First of all, let me inform you this review is for a visit from a few years back. TripAdvisor is forcing me to choose a month for our visit and the latest we can choose is February 2018 even though we visited a few years prior to that. I hope the length of time that has passed prior to us deciding to post this review stresses the disappointment of our visit and treatment by the General Manager. We've always enjoyed their Raspberry Chocolate Port since we first received it as a gift. Since the Galveston location closed, we decided to stop at the Kemah location on the way home from our annual Galveston vacation. We stopped at about 12:30 pm to purchase our beloved wine and entered the building. We couldn't find anyone inside so we began to look around for someone to help us. We finally find someone, who we later discovered was the manager at that time, Dee Pedraza, whom we asked if we could purchase some wine. We were rudely greeted by her and told we could when they opened. We asked when they opened and she said noon. We informed her it was 12:30 and she said "Oh." We felt as if we were bothering her the entire time we were there (at most a whopping 10 minutes) even though we purchased nearly $200 worth of our favorite wine and they were open according to the business hours posted both on the door and online. Needless to say, we have found a new favorite wine due to our experience with Ms. Pedraza and we won't be returning to Clear Creek even though we understand she no longer works there. If this is the type of General Manager the owner chooses to employ, even if no longer there, we'll go elsewhere.

Thank you for your response. Dee Pedraza has not worked here since 2013. The winery has been under new management and has much improved services and customer relations. Since your last visit in 2013 we have a larger selection of wines to offer and we still make and have in stock the Raspberry Chocolate port. I would encourage you to come in and see for your self all the wonderful changes we have made. If you can not make it in we can ship you your favorite Raspberry Chocolate Port. I hope to hear from you soon. 1/26/2019 Mechell Weems Winery Director CCV 281-334-8300

Fruity wines
May 2018 • Friends
Mostly fruit forward wines, which we enjoyed. Feel like the 3/$15 or create your own at 4/$25 is high so we decided just to have a couple of glasses instead. The wines are nice, mostly fruity as I said, but we enjoyed our time here. The ladies were nice and knowledgeable about the wines. Nice area as well.

Liked the Wines but tasting are pricy
Dec 2017 • Couples
We stopped here while visiting the Kemah Boradwalk; it's a short walk away. It was Happy Hour and they offered 2 for 1 wine tasting and $5 appetizers. The tastings were normally $15, so we received 2 for that price. At that price, it was not bad; you receive 3 portions each of about 3 oz. However, it was not a good value if you had to pay $15 per person. The appetizers were simple; either a cheese plate or bruscetta, and a bit small for $5. In spite of these negatives, we did like the wines and purchased two bottles. There was also an excellent jazz group playing during the tasting. I would recommend, but only if you do it at Happy Hour, like we did.

Weekend Outing
Aug 2017 • Friends
We stopped by here early on a Saturday and it was close to the tour time so seating in the tasting area was very limited. I highly recommend not going near tour time, as once the tour is finished all the people again pile into the very tight and dead end tasting room. This place definitely wasn't designed without people/traffic flow in mind.
Very quaint winery with lots of fruity wines that looks like have one several awards. Enjoyed the wine tasting and cheese board but was very expensive for the full glass of wine and tastings compared to others.

Complete expensive disappointment
May 2017 • Friends
Very disappointed! I threw a bachelorette party this weekend. Envited a group of girls to their event. Pre-purchased tickets as required for the event. The event was 2-7 with Bar b que, music and drink specials. We wanted to listen to a little music and enjoy some wine tasting before kicking the night off. When we arrived at 6:30 there were people leaving. The staff downstairs directed us upstairs. When going to the tasting room the staff upstairs explained that the manager had closed the event early and there was nothing they could do. Being a party I had to find a secondary route now to feed everyone dinner after already paying for these tickets. When requested a refund due to not having anything available at the advertised time, the manager said they would not be refunding my money. This is poor business and I will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to anyone!!

We have responded to this review before. The customer purchased tickets to an event that was 5 hours long and did not arrive until the end of the day just before closing. The customer had access to food and wine as there were still customers seated on the patio when they arrived. It is not the fault of this establishment that this customer did not arrive in a reasonable time frame to enjoy the festivities but rather showed up at the end of the event and then requested a refund. The time of the event was posted on groupon where she bought her tickets and no refund was due her.

The tour was awesome. The guide answered all of my questions thoroughly. Never made you feel uncomfortable about asking questions, actually welcomed them. Promoted picture taking. I loved the intimate setting and all of the cool architecture, it's a must see gem outside of the hustle and bustle of Houston
