Capt. BOBBY took my grandson and I out and put us on fish. We caught trout till our arms got tired. He really worked with my grandson who is a novice fisherman and helped him catch fish. Within 10 minutes on his boat it felt like I was fishing with one of my best friends. We laughed told stories, caught fish and had the most fun. He is the best priced guide in the area. Will use him as much as I can every time I am in the area. Cole knight

I treated my husband to a half day adventure with CPT Bobby. We had an awesome time. Bobby was patient and fun. He picked us up from the South Shore Harbor marina. We were staying at the hotel. Great customer service! I am definitely thinking of a repeat trip!

Me and my friend went to Kemah this weekend right after the cold front for a day of fishing.
We contact Capt Bob and we took the all day trip to target Red Fish and Speckled Trout....and what a day it was.
Captain Bobby knew exactly were to go to find the fish and how to use the right techniques and bait.
We caught several Reds, plenty of Trouts and also other species such Flounders, Sheepsheads, Black Drums and Sand Trouts.
Bobby was great and we learn a lot from him. I m looking foward to take an other trip.

Based on all the reviews here, I noticed most folks are not hardcore fisherman and just want to get out and catch any fish.
If you're a seasoned angler and looking to learn the bay, reef, marsh, etc.... this guy aint for ya. And if you're wanting to learn fishing artificial lures, this guy aint for ya either.
BASICALLY CAPT BOBBY IS A "TOURIST & CASUAL FISHING" GUIDE. THAT MEANS CHUNKING LIVE SHRIMP ALL DAY LONG AT 1 OR 2 SPOTS NEARBY THE LAUNCH. If you're wanting to catch some trophy size fish, he aint the one for ya cause he'll give you a lecture about your ego and pride lol.

Hey man, I don't get on here much but I just saw your review and figured I would reach out to you and anyone who happens to read this. When you book a trip with me please be clear on what your expectations are and what you want to learn... example if you are a "seasoned angler" and you want to learn the bay system, reefs, marshes, wells etc. , I assure you that I have the most up to date reef charts on my boat and the experience running and fishing the bay to inform you of what the patterns and places are to catch tournament winning Trout and Redfish with lures, but your trip will be totally different than a family/friendly trip using live bait, which is what I do 95% of the time, and I like it!
As far as the ego comment I will say this, if you are the type of person that looks down on others for fishing with live bait and you think everyone should be using lures, speaking from my own experience (that was me!), I believe you may have an ego issue. There is nothing wrong with fishing with live bait.
That being said, I wasn't aware that you wanted to just go out and learn the bay and learn how, when and what lures to throw. I am more than willing to show you around the bay system (for free). Give me a call and I would be glad to help you out any way I can.

Let me start by saying I highly recommend Capt. Bobby. We started early in the morning and were catching fish right off the bat. It was a very relaxed environment and he was ready and willing to teach us tips and tricks, which was greatly appreciated! The best part was, even if we didn’t catch anything, we still would have had a great time just shooting the breeze. We finished the day with a cooler full of fish and great memories all around. Can’t wait to get out there again!

Went on a half day trip with Captain Bobby. Captain Bobby put us on the fish. We caught fish or had bites on almost every cast. We caught a lot of red fish but also sheep head, ladyfish, black drum and others. Can't wait till next time.

Captain Bobby knows how to catch fish and is a good teacher for children. Our group (two adults and two children - ages 8 and 4 years old) enjoyed our bay fishing experience. Bobby provided a boat, live bait and bottled water during the trip. After helping everyone catch red fish and trout, Captain Bobby cleaned the fish and provided ice and a plastic bag for transporting the fish. For lunch, we took our fresh catch to "Topwater Grill" on the advice of Captain Bobby which worked out very well. I would recommend Bobby to friends and family. As a heads up the boat does not have a roof/shade cover so you should wear long sleeve shirts and long pants with a cap and plenty of sunscreen.

Just got off the water with Capt. Bobby. Fish on a tough day with young kids and he still put us on the fish. He was great with the kids help them fish. Plus he took the time to teach them how to cast and fish correctly. By the end of the trip both kids was casting and catching fish by themselves. Had a blast watching the kids catch fish. Top notch, first class guide. Will be fishing together again soon.

FUN, FUN, FUN!
Bobby took me, my son and my son's father in law out for a half day trip.
Bobby was very friendly and attentive and took very good care of us. He was very safe navigating the foggy bay. He put us right on the fish (reds, trout, flounder, black drum, whiting). Caught too many fish to even keep a count of. Will definitely be going out again with Capt Bobby in the near future.

The trip was 10/10. We were locals who wanted to learn at bit from a local guide and capt. Bobby did just that. Gave us lots of useful advice for fishing in this area. We also happened to catch plenty of fish which isn’t always the case when fishing. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to go fish in the Clearlake/Seabrook/Kemah area.
