I booked a sunset cruise for my best friend’s bachelorette party and we had an amazing time that will be remembered for a long to come! I had read so many positive reviews prior to booking and after experiencing it I can definitely see why everyone raves about this cruise. I cannot say enough good things about this cruise and Captain Matt. Communication with the Captain was seamless and timely. He happily answered any questions and concerns prior and leading up to the cruise including the ground rules so that we would come prepared and everything would run smoothly. The day of the cruise the Captain was punctual, easy going and very welcoming. Once aboard he was very clear about all safety guidelines and requirements and laid out the itinerary for the cruise. Captain Matt was very hospitable and we were able play our own music and take along snacks and drinks as well. He was also happy to answer any questions we had about the lake, bay or Kemah area in general. He provided for a fun, safe and laid back experience that made all of us feel very welcome. The cruise was amazing and so fun to see all the beautiful homes around the lake and relax on the water; the sunset was stunning but it was enhanced that much more by Captain Matt’s personality and professional service. We all agreed that we would not hesitate to come back and book another cruise or recommend his services. The views and atmosphere were gorgeous!

We did a sunset sail while visiting from Chicago. We had an amazing time. Capt. Matt showed us great views of Kemah and beautiful homes on the water. The weather was perfect, boat was awesome. We brought our own snacks and drinks to enjoy, we even chose our own music to listen to. The sunset was gorgeous as we took many photos and memories home with us.
We met Capt. Matt as a stranger but we left as friends. We definitely will do it again!!!

Capt was flexible with timing and moved up departure due to wind/weather. He knew we were looking forward to being married on the boat that day and made accommodations accordingly. Photographer/second mate was great as well.

Captain Matt is accommodating, extremely competent, and super friendly. His boat is lovely, and he asked us for our input as to what we wanted to do the most: sail or motor. The scenery was lovely and we were entertained with a wonderful dolphin show. There is no guarantee of seeing dolphins when you are out, but if you do happen upon them, Captain Matt masterfully encircles their area and maximizes your enjoyment. We packed food, snacks and drink. We did the 3 hour day tour. We also packed plastic wine bottles (small four pack).

If you want a fantastic romantic sunset sailing... this is the best you can get. Captain Matt took us on a 3 hour sunset sailing trip on his beautiful catamaran. It is big enough and has bedrooms, bathroom kitchen and everything you need. Very clean and well kept.
Captain Matt is very friendly and made us feel as it the boat was ours. I highly recommend this for a fantastic and memorable experience.
We will definitely recommend this to our friends and will book this sunset sailing again soon

We decided to get married at sunset on a sailboat. Captain Matt with Sailaway Clear Lake Charters made sure our entire experience was magical. We had a beautiful wedding at sunset and could not be happier with the service we received.

My wife and I chartered Captain Matt and his lovely catamaran for a 3 hr morning sail. This was our first time on a sailboat of any kind and the Captain did a superb job in helping us to feel comfortable and safe. Even though the winds did not allow for a full sail, Captain Matt was kind, funny and we enjoyed our morning with the birds and dolphins. We had an incredible experience. Matt was an excellent captain! We scheduled a charter at the last minute during spring break, and Matt was very accommodating to fit us in his schedule. The views across Clear Lake and Kemah were perfect for memorable picture taking. His catamaran is absolutely beautiful. The netting lounge on the front makes everything cooler during a hot Texas day. Overall, a great time was had, and I recommend his catamaran charter to all (girls trip, family outing, or for a date night)!

This is our third year to take a Sunset Cruise with Captain Matt and we will continue making this a family event. Everything was ready when we arrived, we had a safety briefing before we set sail, and we had a great sail on Galveston Bay. Captain Matt was very cordial and helpful during our cruise.

We chartered Captain Matt's catamaran boat and had a marvelous time. The boat was spotless and there was an obvious pride of ownership. As experienced boaters ourselves, we appreciated the mandatory safety presentation.
