I decided to satisfy my curiosity and pursue a multiple year interest in sailing by signing up for the ASA 101 beginners course. Having now completed the 2 day course I'm really pleased that I signed up through Windward Seaventure. Everyone I interacted with was kind and respectful, from the staff to my fellow crew of students. In particular our instructor Captain John was really accessible, helpful, patient and thorough in his teachings of the fundamentals. I came in as a complete beginner and felt overwhelmed at times but after 2 days out on the water John had set us up for success as future sailors to be. I will continue my journey to competency and will definitely be taking more sailing classes at Windward. Thank you to all involved:)

Wonderful experience learning to sail with Windward SeaVenture. A buddy and I signed up for the ASA 101 class together; first time sailing for both of us. Captain Alan did a fantastic job. His instruction was informative and fun, with a great mix of important information needed for the course and practical sailing knowledge. We definitely came away from the course confident that we could competently serve as crew for a sailing yacht. We are already planning our second trip to take ASA 103 & 104, and will be requesting Captain Alan. Thank you Windward SeaVenture for an enjoyable experience!

Great people, excellent quality boats, easy to get to from Houston. I had a wonderful weekend learning from a great instructor Captain and it was a joy meetiing new friends to sail with.
Top Notch experiance I very highly recommend.
I researched alternatives in the Houston area and decided that the extra few dollars was well worth spending. I was correct!!

My wife, father-in-law and I all took the ASA 101,103,104 here! Shout out to Brian and a huge shout out to Doug, aka Pirate Doug! Excellent folks who take their time and make sure you are comfortable with all the different maneuvers and rules needed to know to skipper a vessel. Highly recommend to take lessons here.

My best friend and I decided to experience Kemah for the first time by watching sailboat races on the Windward Wayward Pub last Wednesday evening. We had a phenomenal time. The waterway is gorgeous, and our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Don't hesitate to book with this company - we will definitely be back!

This was my forth class with Windward SeaVenture. The instructors are top notch. The boats we get to sail are incredible. A class of 3 people and a instructor allows for a lot of time at the helm. I always learn a lot and feel more confident each time I take the helm.

We took our ASA 103/104 Class with Captain Doug Dyer on the 42 ft charter boat "Paradise". The experience was great. We discussed engine and generator maintenance, shio maintenance, the electrical system, and more.

The class began on a Friday morning and ended on Sunday afternoon. During this time we practiced man overboard maneuvers, tacking, jibing, hove-to, and reefing.

Captain Doug was knowledgeable and patient. He made certain to address our questions in detail. Overall a great experience.

I took the ASA 101 course at Windward and learned more about sailing than I excepted. The instructor was good and the atmosphere nice. I would recommend this school to anyone that want to learn sailing.

It is a 2 day course.

All the reviews of Windward SeaVenture are great, and we would like to add to that list. I have been lucky to have great charters so far in my sailing career, and this is probably the best experience I have ever had. We were so impressed with the professionalism and quality of product they have for charter. We chartered their 36 foot Hunter Bright Spot for a weeklong trip to Port Arransas and back. Bright Spot is a very sea worthy and well equipped boat containing many comforts that made the trip just fantastic. Windward SeaVenture made it easy to get out, and return the boat. Fortunately, we had no problems we needed to contact them about on our trip, but they were very easy to get in touch with if we had questions. They were also ready for us when we returned. I can't say enough great things about our experience, and we look forward to future day, weekend and weeklong trips with Wndward SeaVenture. Greatest Trip ever.

Capt Alan was super -- fun, very knowledgable, eager to teach the big things and the little things. We tested out of ASA101 then did 103/104 training. Even though we've been sailing for decades, we learned a lot and reviewed many things using the best techniques. The boats are real cruising sailboats 40+ feet, so your experience is very relevant to the kind of boat you might get from Moorings. Highly recommended if you are chartering or buying a sailboat.
