We were told this was probably Colchester's best kept secret and we agree. The gardens are beautiful and even the wooded area, which we expected to be mostly trees, was filled with flowers and bushes which were soon to flower. The light lunch, eaten in...More

What a beautiful, peaceful garden full of birdsong and tranquil corners. Despite visiting early in the year there was still plenty of interest and we found much inspiration for our own garden. Lovely tearoom and plant nursery too - recommend for a day out.

Had seen this advertised a while ago and just didn't get there but what a truly delightful surprise. Even though the daffodils are going over and bluebells are coming soon, the trilliums and camellia were beautiful. Everything is starting to shoot and it just makes...More

End of March and we visited the garden and were not disappointed. It was full of colour and extremely well maintained. The woodlands are also well presented with manicured paths. Well worth the £6 entry. Only complaint is the wedge size of the coffee cake...More
