I've gone on this train ride multiple times over the years. The haunted train and Christmas train rides are my favorite. The story tellers are amazing.

I call and asked if I could reserve they said they would take my name and how many people think they took #. Weather had been rainy earlier but had not rained in awhile. We were hour away drove up there and they canceled. They left the sign out front so unless you walked up to door you didn't know... More

During our visit the bayou was much wider than it normally is caused by recent heavy rainfall. The re-enactment of the great locomotive chase and naval battle nevertheless took place. The train rode through a foot of water ! I really enjoyed the scenery and the information that was given by the live narrator. It is worth the drive and... More

Very relaxing train trip out through the backside of the Bayou. Lots of information about the area and the town of Jefferson. would recommend to all with kids or just to sit and see the sights. The Bayou is really a special place.

A recommendation if you're sight-seeing this area. They also say Jefferson is haunted but it's very pretty area.

During this time of year, the train station & train are decorated for Christmas. Christmas music is played while an employee narrates the ride through the woods for you. The woods are decorated with lights (how'd they do that?) & different scenes throughout. Plan early, as tickets sell out fast.

We're all senior adults ( 6) and were very disappointed with this ride. The lighting in the trees was poorly done and the displays were not much better. The whole thing was disappointing. It's alright for a small child that's never been on a train ride, but definitely not for adults.

We did the Christmas Lights Ride. When we made the reservations we were expecting typical cold December weather, so we reserved the Indoor Car. The car is nicer and if it had actually been cold ( temps in the 60s) it would have been more comfortable than the open cars. The open cars would offer a better view and better... More

We enjoyed our ride the Jefferson Christmas train. They take you on a 30-40 minute ride through a series of lighted displays made up to like holiday celebrations around the world. If you go in expecting something like you might find major theme park you will be disappointed but if you have a kid who likes trains (and most do)... More

This was a pleasant but short excursion with Christmas displays on both sides of the track and a narrative and music as well. It was nice listening to the other passengers reminiscing about their prior trips.
