    Great bourbon experience!
Wonderful experience as a volunteer helping bottle bourbon! Volunteers get breakfast and lunch prepared by the on-staff chef, PLUS a bourbon tasting each hour!! Great employees and excellent bourbon! We will volunteer to work again soon!

    Fantastic Bourbon, Fantastic Tour
I've made a few trips out to Garrison Brothers over the years and it just keeps getting better. The distillery is growing fast and for good reason. The bourbon is top notch and the distillery tour is the best I've ever had. Very veteran friendly for those who have served.

Great way to spend the day with my husband!
Loved this so much! We've done several tours in Kentucky, but this one was much more close up and personal. And the tasting was generous and allowed us to try five different GB bourbons. I scheduled as a treat for my bourbon-loving husband, but I ended up having just as much fun!

Go visit - great tour & great people!
Excellent visit! Wonderful tour and tasting session. Amy provided a wonderful tour and provided some great insights. Really appreciate the attention and thoughtfulness of the entire staff shown to my dad who has mobility issues. He had a great time too! Truly a great bourbon made by even greater people.

    Amazing Texas Hill Country Distillery
Beautiful distillery with a friendly staff. Started with a frozen dp and a bourbon sour with Texas twinkies (stuffed jalapenos) -amazing! Live music and outdoor seating was great! Excellent and informative tour with Amy and Amy. We also did the tasting after the tour. Sampled a variety of Garrison bourbon and finished with a bourbon filled chocolate. Amy was an outstanding guide that shared lots of stories and insight. Fun visit definitely worth your time!

Fun, laid-back environment full of stories. The longhorn story is the best.
The trip was awesome. From the time I was greeted by Mike. Who as it turned out was our “guide” and our taster. I say that because in advance they told us there was a power problem, and the tour could not be done. They still did their best to make our experience awesome. All the staff was great. Will definitely do again thanks Garrison Brothers.

    Great Bourbon and Better Vibes
This place is the must stop for Texas whiskey! If you can only go to one distillery in Texas make it Garrison Brothers. Just a great bourbon. If you think good whiskey can only be made in Kentucky and Tennessee they will change your mind. The tour itself was informative and entertaining. Talking about what makes their bourbon unique from the rest of the US. Dan Garrison even stopped to say hello before our tour wagon got rolling. Getting to try the various stages of whiskey production is very eye opening. Sampling the distiller's beer, unaged distillate, and finished small batch. They also go through how to taste and chew a whiskey if you are a beginner. Finishing with a toast to our military and first responders. If you are a whiskey nerd (like me) splurge for the Hye Reserve tasting. They only have 9 spots and only are done on certain days. Definitely book well in advance! Trying the brands more exclusive and premium offerings. Also, you get a bourbon filled chocolate and to keep your Glencairn glass. Amy was leading my tasting and she had us smiling the whole time. Delving a bit more into the brands history and creative process for various expressions. You can forgo the tour and just do the tasting. However a package deal is offered for a slight discount. The property is beautiful. Especially when the wildflowers are in bloom. Even if someone in the group doesn't like whiskey they will find the area very relaxing. Everyone on the Ranch had Texan hospitality and smiles. Next time I am in the Hill Country I will be back.

    Texas Sized-Hospitality @ Garrison Brothers
Visiting Garrison Brothers has been on our bucket list since we moved to Austin for the year and we finally made it out this past Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny day, ideal for a distillery visit. We have been on the Kentucky Bourbon trail before, so I can confidently say that the Garrison Brothers tour measures up in quality to those we experienced in Kentucky. Our guide was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The information on the tour was properly pitched to the beginner and shared in an easy to remember way. We also were able to sample the "white dog" the distillate that comes off the still before it is barreled and aged as well as have a full sample of their small batch bourbon. If you are a bourbon connoisseur, I also recommend planning ahead of time and spending the $ to secure a place in their special tasting. They limit the numbers who can join to maintain the quality of the experience. While we went on the weekend, if you can go during the week, do that as 1) the tour is less expensive 2) you will likely have fewer people on the tour.

    Best 40th anniversary!
My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and there was an event we were scheduled to attend in Dallas, so I decided to plan a special quick trip down to Garrison Brothers as we have several of their bottles of bourbon. I signed us up for the tour and tasting which was an upgrade to the normal tour. I will start by saying the tour was fantastic. Amy and Delphine did a wonderful job giving us the history of the distillery and hosting our tour. After the general tour ( where you were able to sample taste the mash as well as their white dog), we had a short break before the actual formal tasting. A different Amy was our host for that event, and she was equally knowledgeable and very enjoyable. Every employee we interacted with head a passion for their job and had a true love of the brotherhood. We knew a lot about the history as we watched the Cowboy Bourbon movie on You Tube, which was also great. We feel a true connection to GB especially for to their support of the military, and the fact that we come from a long line of military men. We had a truly fantastic time and it made our anniversary very memorable. We do hope that at sometime in the future, we will be able to come back to volunteer. My only disappointment was that we missed Dan. That would have been a once in a lifetime anniversary. I hope you have the opportunity to visit GB and to experience their Texas hospitality first hand.

Small place but has a very comfortable area to sip on your favorite Bourbon. Part of the area looks like a living room with comfortable seating for at least two groups of 5 to 7 people. There are items for table games (cards, dominoes, etc...). Another area has high tables for more seating and games (albeit not living room-like). Very clean and comfortable. And of course, they have excellent Bourbons to enjoy, as a single drink or a flight. You'll definitely want to take home at least one bottle.

This was our first scheduled stop after arriving at the airport in Austin. Our group of 8 ladies(Weekend Birthday celebration)arrived at 1:45pm without a reservation for a tour. A very handsome cowboy offered to include us in the 2:00 tour but our group decided not to do the tour because this was going to be a short stop before we arrived in Fredericksburg. 3 hours later we departed for our cottage!! We had so much fun sampling drinks and sitting around the fire pits catching up with each other we didn’t want to leave! They had complimentary s’more stations, wine and kept our fire pit going for us. Beautiful property for pictures! Make sure to ask for a military discount on any bottles you purchase.

My wife and I have visited several distilleries over the years. Garrison Brothers is by far the best. Yes the price point is fairly steep, but once you know their bourbon is a direct decendant of the master distiller Elmer T. Lee, you can understand why. I learned several new facts I didn't know before about bourbon and how you should drink it. The staff there are very knowledgeable and sociable and a real hoot to talk to. And the bourbon ain't half bad either.

Love their Bourbon, so much so that I drove 3.5 hours to tour their distillery. The tour is highly informative, the employees make you laugh the entire time while educating you on their Bourbon and the history of Garrison Brothers. We had a blast: part of the tour takes you through the bottling process where they had volunteers participate in the final assembly before they are boxed. I signed my wife and I up she had a blast! If you are a Veteran, they make you feel special and treat you to a discount along with their respect.

Great Bourbon, great company, great tours, and even make you feel great about donating your time to help them push our their great Bourbon!

This tour is a must do even if you are not a regular bourbon drinker! The entire staff is so friendly and put you immediately feel like you are a part of the family! Ours are easy to book online. Plan to arrive a little early and have a drink beforehand. You can even take it with you on the tour.

The tour itself is very interesting and quite entertaining. At the end they will give you a sample and teach you how to drink it like a bourbon snob! it is well worth the 2 hours of your time!

We had been waiting to do a tour of Garrison Brothers for over a year. We finally scored spots last week and it was worth the wait! Tours are only $10 a person, which includes samples of the process along the way and a decent pour of bourbon at the end of the tour. It was really amazing to hear Garrison's story and see the process. We arrived early, which I highly recommend, and got drinks from the outside bar. "The Donkey" was a delicious spin on a "Moscow Mule". The "Old Fashioned" was a VERY generous size for the money and tasty. They also offered beer and wine for an honor system donation. The outdoor area was very large and had plenty of places to sit and enjoy the property. Overall, I definitely recommend and will be back!

I Visited Garrison Brothers Distillery today and had an Outstanding Experience. Pint Sized Paula And Charlie made the Experience . Most Distilleries you Visit there’s never really a human element to the visit, Paula and Charlie made the Experience come to life from taking us through the process of the Distilling Experience. Being able to interact and learn step by step from the actual employee who explains the process of his or her job, From Distilling to Bottling, while being able to taste the before Product, while also able to Ask questions is something unheard of in todays Distillery Tour. If there’s one thing that I have taken away from this Tour is that Dan Garrison and Garrison Brothers not only is on the Ball with A Great Bourbon, But a Great Staff who Immensely Care About there Product and Take Pride in what they do. For those looking for a Great Bourbon Experience and Great Day Trip to Hye Texas and Hill Country Look No Further than Garrison Brothers.

We visited Garrison Brothers on Saturday, 1/4/2020 and had a great time. We had a sit and sip tour scheduled for 2:00 and arrived early to get the lay of the land. I highly recommend spending some extra time here. They had fire pits with smore fixings, corn hole games, as well as some other types of entertainment that doesn't include bourbon. The snack bar is phenomenal! Scooter was our tour guide and she was awesome. It really seems like everyone who works at Garrison Brothers enjoys their job and telling people about it! We have toured other distilleries in Tennessee and this one is a lot more fun!
