So my son and a few of his friends told me they was going to this place 1 night.
I said okay I'll go with yall to make sure you stay out of trouble.
We took 2 vehicles it was about 8 people total.
As we get close to the road the cemetery is on we see a couple houses with a couple lights on, but it was close to midnight during the week so we figured people that live here might be sleeping so we drove a little slow on this dirt road with the window down.
As we drive i hear someone yell something so I told my son to call his friends and tell them to be quiet people live here.
His friends say they are quiet because they want to hear if someone yells or something.
About that time I hear someone yell GET OUT OF MY YARD!
We keep looking as we drive to try and see who said it or possibly see someone running away ect....
Then we finely get to the cemetery a couple other cars are here so we get out and start looking around.
1 car leaves then a few minutes later the other leaves.
Me and a couple others stay by the vehicles and I decided to write on the car as a joke to spook them.
We finely leave and something big hits the side of the vehicle infront of us as we drive by it we see its a big black bird possibly an owel and it made a loud scream.
So we finely meet up at the closest gas station and start talking about what all we seen and everything.
Someone noticed some writing on both vehicles and 1 of the friends said yes he did that.
But I only wrote on 1 vehicle and I wrote go away.
But something else wrote LEAVE NOW on both vehicles.
This place is a little scary I'm not going to lie so be careful if you ever go here.

Martha Chapel Cemetery is located at the dead end of Demon's Road right outside of Huntsville, Texas. While driving to the place you may catch a glimpse of Little House on the Prairie as it intertwines with the eerie feeling of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Your mind roams as visions of Hellbilly demons dance through your head. There is a lingering presence of territorial gaming in the air as psycho chillers stalk around the corner. The cemetery itself is very green and overgrown with long grasses and shrubbery, Poison oak and ivy grow rampantly around a particular set of singled out tombstones, the ones that resemble those of the Salem Witch Trial era. The poisonous plants I suspect, act as a protector and signal a sign of no trespassing. The ancient ruins crumble in brick dust reminiscent of Voodoo folklore as in "The Skeleton Key". Renovation in the vein of "Save our Cemeteries" is on the request list. The spooks and roadside ghosts demand a little TLC. There are big scary trees lurking in this area... the kind that you can make images out of their shapes. Uncannily, the red flowers on the trees are in the perfect place to resemble a set of demonic red eyes. I saw two, the owl and the pussycat.... and they were indeed, a set of demonic looking creatures with a captivating spark of humor. We captured it on film and if I wasn't the first person to submit "Martha Chapel Cemetery" to this site, I would have the privilege to upload the photo itself. But don't take my word for it, go out and see it yourself and relish in the splendor of Haunted America.

Martha Chapel is a an quaint, interesting old cemetery in and out-of-the-way part of Walker County. There are a number of spooky tales regarding this place, but we have never seem anything out of the ordinary. There are many old markers to admire and a number of early pioneers buried here. Definitely worth a look if you have the time.

I just wanted to start off by saying we have visited this cemetery more than once around 4 times one of the times I went with my boyfriend and his brother and a few friends we were all standing in the back of the newer cemetery and we heard what sounded like something running up on us well no big deal but after that I could hear what sounded like a growing sound to say the least this stuff follows you home that night we got back my trash can lid flew off and I could hear a females voice in my daughters room as well as a similar blue light we saw that night in my hallway the last time we went we didn’t see much till the end when I and a few other people who showed up seen a tall dark figured man lurking in the corner of the old cemetery who seemed to be following my brother and my boyfriends brother the vibe I got from that dude was no less than evil when we got back too our house my tv was turning up on its own and my downstairs google was playing music this finally stopped after putting crosses up but if you don’t want this stuff following you home I wouldn’t recommend going

Upon driving down Bowden Road (a.k.a. Demon's Road), nothing seemed quite out of the ordinary. It actually wasn't really that scary as the rumors make it out to be. There's alot of farmland and cows and it was quite pretty. When we got to Martha Chapel Cemetary, things started to change. At first it was just a normal old Cemetary with damaged headstones and stuff. I will mention, however, that it was eerily quiet, but peaceful as well, as my wife and I were the only ones there. When we got to the newer part of the Cemetary, I started hearing noises coming from the trees, that sounded like footsteps, my wife didn't hear it at first, but then it started getting closer and was louder. All of a sudden we both heard this like guttural growl, and my wife and I both ran back to the car. We're not sure what it was, but it sounded like an animal; it definitely was not human-like. Whatever it was, we were unable to see it. The scary part is, there's another review on this page with a similar instance about a growl heard in the newer part of the Cemetary as well, but the review is from 3 years ago. I don't believe in demons or ghosts, but I will say I probably would not go here at night or alone.
