After buying the music for our grandsons to listen to and learn, and after getting front row center seats, we went to see the Wizard of Oz. While the actors were great and the theatre is wonderful, the music was a tremendous disappointment ---NO: we're off to see the wizard, somewhere over the rainbow, munchkins, if I only had a brain----nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ruined it for us.

So sorry you were disappointed it wasn't the same version as the movie, but happy to hear you enjoyed our actors and venue! There are often many versions of a story out there, so it is always good to check our website if it is straight from the book or based on another, familiar version. For example, next year, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" IS based on the classic television special, whereas "Holes" is based from the book but not on the movie.

Enjoyed our first performance at this venue last night. We were in matchbox 1 which seats under 100 people so it's quite small and intimate. Comfortable seats and good acoustics made for an enjoyable evening. We were lucky and found parking on the street but there is a garage with reasonable rates ($5, I believe) just across the street.

Theater for Youth is produced by Main Street Theater in a new permanent theater located at the MATCH on Main Street in Houston. The productions are top quality with paid actors and wonderful scenery and costumes. The plays are family fun and the adults will enjoy the plays as much as the children!

We love going to these plays. We have taken school field trips there several times. The new building is really nice and has great seats. The kids really had a great time!

Great new performing arts venue with convenient parking. We had a private show in one of the theaters and it was great. Parking is in a garage just across the street for $5 so arrival and departure were easy, even in this busy part of mid-town. It is also just north of the Metro Station if you are taking public transport.
