The best outdoor art park ever
The park has plenty to keep people of all ages entertained for quite a long time. Broken tile art in the most unique designs will make you smile! Sit and have a picnic, swing in some large seats or play I Spy. Some projects are in the process of being completed. This is a must see!

    Inspiring
What an inspiring little art park right next to The Orange Show. Fantastic mosaics on a wall along one side of the park, mosaic walkways and tables with many works in progress. Fun little stroll, plenty of street parking, picnic tables, and benches if you want to stay a while.

    Little Known Gem
Simply put Smither Park is a beautiful art park comprised of “junk.” Imagine broken bottles, old dishes, hub caps and road signs assembled into sculptures, statues and mosaics. The park is not very large but is continuing to be added to.

    Not your average park
The park is small, but worth a visit if you are in the area. There are many different unique mosaic tile works of art. Plan to spend 30-60 minutes at most. The pictures on this site are accurate to some of the items you will see. They seem to be adding more art to the park as well.

    Beautiful place !
Loved the creativity of the artist! It's worth making some time to go and take lots of pictures. You will realize that, even those things you didn't think you could use to make something beautiful, can totally be used to create an amazing artistic piece. You will not regret visiting it!

    Creativity at work
Cool little park with lots of mosaics, art, and creativity. From the walls, to the lampposts, to the swings, to the tables and pavilion... Everything was uniquely decorated with repurposed objects. We came with a 3 year boy and he loved looking at all the installments and colors. We probably spent a good 45 minutes here. Free street parking on the one side. The other side is in front of homes, so please don't park there. Free park access. Port-a-potty on site.

Directly next to the Orange Show
A creative, fun, friendly park that pays homage to folk art. Displayed work reminded us of Gaudi’s work. Picnic tables are fun with figures keeping visitors company. Behind the park is a field which though fenced off contains art cars that we could view through the chain link fence.

Whimsical outdoor art makes everyone smile
I’m so glad we took the time to drive out to this park! It was such a unique treat! The artistry is so whimsical and beautiful. My young teens loved exploring all of the hidden gems inside the art and envisioning what future structures might become. I love that this is a masterpiece still in the making and wish we could have visited on a Saturday to see the artists at work.

    Mosaic Art
We googled things to do and came up with this small park as a place to visit. So we drove into a residential area and found the park. This is a narrow strip of land along Munger street that has a big variety of mosaic art. There are many thousands of mosaic tiles that artists have put together into a nice creative display. It was disappointing that there was only on-street parking, but it is a quiet neighborhood so parking wasn't a problem.

This is a hidden gem you don't want to miss! Incredible detail and talented creativity! My family had a lot of fun here. Look close, look inside, under, and all around! Fabulous experience! We were amazed that the checkers on the checkerboard were removable, and they were all there! Respect! You can take a little or a lot of time here, but you don't want to miss it. We stayed about an hour. Great photography opportunities!

I love mosaic art, so this was a thrill for me to discover. I try to go every time I'm in Houston just to see new creations. It's quirky and fun, all ages will enjoy. Located in a quiet neighborhood so be a "good neighbor" while you are there.

I've done some mosaic work myself. Even got college credit for it, so I recognized the different levels and styles here. Loved exploring this place. A wide variety of subject matter, and given what I saw, it changes often. In a quiet residential neighborhood. Even some art in a few front yards. If you like exploring quirky art places, this is a must see.
