Beautiful exhibit of black women paintings. Really captured the essence of our many shades and textures. A must see for all teens both male and female. Very small museum. Would not take more than an hour even if you paused to reflect.

The museum is small, yet rich in several paintings from Mr. Ellis. I would recommend taking a look- should take 1- 1.5 hours. Worth a trip and it's impressive how Passionate the staff are at Hmacc, especially Charles.
Visiting the Houston Museum of African American Culture was an awesome experience. The gentlemen at the front desk was very informative and made the experience great. Definitely would recommend to family.
