I’ve been to this place a couple of times. The main reason to go is the spectacular view it offers of downtown Houston from its third floor rooftop bar/restaurant.
All the beers they offer are brewed right there and the lineup changes frequently.
The food is quite good too. It’s a better menu in my opinion than their main competitor
They have an indoor area too on the second floor. However in these Covid times, the rooftop is where you want to be.
The only downside to this place is an active rail line that is adjacent to the facility. Several trains went by while we were there and one was about 15 minutes in duration and very loud. It might be filtered if on the second floor.

Great food, beer, and scenery . Went for lunch on a Sunday. Sat on the third floor and had a wonderful view of Houston sky line. we started with the pretzel bites and they were excellent. My husband got the brew house burger and I got the blackened shrimp tacos Mine was very good, very spicy. My husband loved his burger, cooked perfectly, large patty and fresh toppings. The fries were great, looked hand cut and cooked crispy with just the weigh amount of salt. My husband also had the Some on the Bayou dark beer, which he really liked. We saw some amazing food get delivered to other tables around us, and was impressed with how each looked, they all looked good and have some ideas on what we would like to get next time we visit.

Very cool atmosphere. Try to sit on 3rd floor for a great view of Houston downtown skyline. Great beer. The baked tomato/goat cheese dip was divine. Friendly staff

I have no idea. This was my 231st brewery. I waited 20 minutes in line for a beer. Very few beer serving stations. After the long wait and with it being my first time, I asked the bartender to serve me the beer they are most proud of. He hesitates and then pours me the stickiest amber I’ve ever tasted. He says it was the first beer they ever brewed. Well, I hope they got better. I left the amber and went on to the next brewery. Someone spent a whole lot of money on this place. I’m just not sure for what.

I visited while BuffBrew they were still in their ‘soft opening’ at their brand new location by the silos and already they’re doing a great job. Great beers. Really good food ( for sure, do the cheesy pork nachos!) and a spectacular view of the Houston skyline on the open air patios on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I stuck with the stouts but loved sampling several others. Cheers!!

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this brewery on a recent trip to Houston.
In all of my years of enjoying the dining out experience, nothing prepared me for this.
Only half of my dinner was served to me. I ordered a noodle salad. I received what looked like a plate prepared for a rabbit. I knew something was missing but did not realize what it was until I noticed a diner several tables over who apparently ordered the same thing. She had noodles. My noodle salad was missing the key ingredient, the noodles. When this was pointed out to the waiter, he was speechless. The brewery did not offer an apology. Did not offer to remove the cost of my dinner from the bill (there were four of us). Did not offer to replace what they served me with what I ordered. Did not offer to provide coffee or desert as a gesture. They did nothing to try to correct such a mistake. Worse than the rabbit food they served me was the attitude. I would never return to this place again, under any circumstances. Truly a disgrace in Houston.

Really liked this place but they have a big selection of beers but don't offer flights. That's hugely disappointing for people that like to try out breweries when they are out of town. Don't go there unless you know what you want to drink or are willing to drink a lot.

Great beer, even better food and a nice new-ish location. The only negative was they were out of several of their beers when we visited. There are a ton of options for just about every beer palate. When we visited I thought I was going to have to give them a negative because they did not offer tasting flights. Much to my surprise they are happy to bring you a sample of the beers you want to try for free! That is a win win every day in my book. BBB is up and coming and is definitely worth the trip...nice view of the skyline from the rooftop is another bonus! Take the trip...well worth it.

Thanks for stopping by James. We're glad you enjoyed the food, the view, and of course the beer you tried. I'm sorry to hear that that we were out of some of the beers. We're still working on our projections for how fast some of our beers will move through the new brewery. We're facing higher volumes than we're used to (yes, it's a good problem) and working to ensure we have tons of tasty beers for all of our customers.

Houston boasts multiple breweries and each has its own personality and style. Some are a little more laid back while others are more traditional. If you want something that breaks most of the conventional ideas of what a brewery should be, then consider a visit to Buffalo Bayou Brewing.
What makes Buffalo Bayou Brewing so different? The first thing that comes to mind is the beer. Buffalo Bayou Brewing doesn’t like to follow the rules and this becomes evident the moment you step inside and glance at the names of the different styles of beer available. There are beers made with grapes, beer aged in cedar barrels, beers made with ginger, and a host of other flavors/styles/aging methods. Like I said, Buffalo Bayou Brewing is non- traditional in its approach to beer and this is one of the many things that make a visit so enjoyable. The names of the beers, the ingredients, and the descriptions are out of the ordinary and they immediately stimulate your curiosity and imagination.
Besides the beer, Buffalo Bayou Brewing is also known for its events. The brewery hosts parties and various celebrations throughout the year and many of them are very entertaining and memorable. Even if you can’t come here for a visit when a special event is taking place, you can still pay a visit for the weekly Saturday tour. It runs for three hours and is very reasonably priced considering the malt beverage delights just waiting to be sampled.
Houston’s craft beer scene is a vibrant one and it’s growing stronger every year. With Buffalo Bayou Brewing, guests have a brewery experience that is completely different than any other in the local area. Pay a visit if you get the chance. The beer, the fun, the entertainment, and the people who run the show are unlike any you have encountered on your previous brewery excursions. Different is good, and Buffalo Bayou Brewing personifies this description as well or better than any other brewing operation.
