Aside from being a font of historical knowledge, Keith is an entertaining and funny guy and makes his tours both educational and fun. I'm so impressed by the amount of research Keith does for his tours. He constantly makes updates and tweaks the route so you'll have the best experience. I've been on tunnel, Beyoncé, and City tours with him and found all fascinating. Keith likes to throw in a lagniappe (a little something extra) so you are likely to get more than you paid for!

I had a job assignment in Houston for 3 months and I came across Houston Historical Tours on TripAdvisor. I contacted the owner (Keith) and he asked me A LOT of questions as to what I was looking for in a tour - and honestly I didn't know but I figured I'd throw out some ideas as to things I enjoyed. We went back and forth on a few emails and then he sent me a detailed email with a short description of the customized tour he had planned for me. I have to say it was one of the best tours I have ever had. He picked me up at my hotel and we drove around the entire city seeing so many incredible sights - he definitely customized the tour to be all about things I told him that I enjoyed and the tour was absolutely incredible. If you like homes, he will show you the most incredible homes! If you want to experience tex mex, he will find take you to the best tex mex restaurants. The tour was so full of information that I am still remembering little tidbits about my tour to this day. He did not disappoint! He is a wealth of information about Houston and had my attention the entire time and even had me laughing - he is very humorous. He knows so much more than just the historical facts - he knows a lot about the city and the people of Houston. I would highly recommend calling Keith for a tour - you will not be disappointed!

My group did the African American tour of the 3rd ward with a twist. If you are looking for a tour with a tour guide that is knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating look no further. Keith provided the best customer service! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He’s flexible and tweaked our tour to make sure we got the best experience, covered so much ground in such little time.

I did a tour of the San Jacinto battle site and museum. If you like history - Keith Rosen is your man. Keith was a professor of history and you could hear his passion about the subject matter (he is incredibly bright and articulate - plus he really knows his stuff). He did an amazing job of holding my interest for several hours and filled in a ton of knowledge gaps that I had. What I was most impressed by is that I mentioned (when I was making arrangements for the tour) that I had just read a book about Sam Houston and Keith not only read the book in preparation for our visit but he prepared a ton of additional information to show me. Well worth the money!!! In fact, if I’m being completely honest - I don’t think he charged me enough for the value that he provided.
