This place is closed and out of business. There's a letter on the window stating that they haven't paid their rent in sometime and that the landlord has locked them out no lights on doors all locked they are definitely out of business for good.

We were looking for a new steak night place, and happened upon some reviews for Derrick Tavern. Nice place to relax; comfortable seating, big screen tv,and cool decor; Texas oil upscale. Tuesday is steak night, and for a great price, you get a huge ribeye, perfectly cooked and stuffed baked potato. Once you order your steak, you can head to the bar area and get some of the fresh salad they have out for those having the steak. The salad is simple, but has add ins and dressings to choose from like Italian, and jalapeno Ranch, which my husband really enjoyed. You can have as much salad as you want, but save room for the great steak and potato. It did take some time to get our food, but most people order the steak, and with a drink and the salad, we didn't mind the wait at all. I have to say the waitress does need a bit of customer service training. She is a young dark haired girl, with an animal print tattoo. There was never a smile, a word of welcome, or much else from her. I asked about margarita specials I had read about on Tuesdays, and her reply was "no, we don't have those.." I waited, and finally had to ask what the night's specials were. She wasn;t very sure of those, either. Luckily a blonde young lady, about 32 years old, came to the tables to help clean up plates, get more drinks, etc, and she was friendly, engaging and welcoming. Not looking to make a bff, but it is good to have some people skills,if you choose to work with people, and they might have the blonde young lady train the dark haired girl? Steaks were large, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The baked potato was good sized and hot, and the bar had butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream, and everything you need to fix up your potato. Definitely the best steak we have had for a steak night anywhere, in a while. We'll be back soon!
