Small Intimate Theatre

We saw 12 Angry Men. The setting was in a jury room. Very well done. We really enjoyed the play and the underlying meaning. We will be back.

The AD Players was founded almost 50 years ago with an unique and individual style of theater promoting human values, creativity, and education for all ages. It showcases some of Houston's finest professional and talented performances by local actors. Some of the performances have featured classics, such as, "Miracle Worker", "Little Women", "Charlie Brown Christmas", and "Twelve Angry Men". "Annually,... More

Great professional theatre. Performances never disappoint. Most shows are family friendly. If you want a small theatre experience in the heart of Houston, then go see a show at AD Players.

What an adorable little theater. I brought my son for a special "mommy and me" outing to see the Christmas production of A Charlie Brown Christmas a few weeks ago, and it was such a fun experience for both of us. Since this was a show geared for children and families we did not have to worry about being silent.... More

I have seen several plays and musicals at this lovely theatre and have always been more than satisfied. It is an intimate setting so that each person has a great seat close enough to interact with the performers. The choice of plays is always delightful, always perfect for the family. I strongly encourage you to support this charming hometown endeavor.... More

Saw a performance of Helen Keller (The ultra socialist with communist sympathies later in her life, although the play doesn't mention this!) Good actors, pleasant venue, nothing ultra fancy but a nice way to spend an evening!

We recently attended the A.D. Players' production of "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe". Two outstanding actors played multiple parts and kept a room full of children and adults spell-bound for a 1-hour performance. The theater is small and intimate and the entertainment is outstanding. Highly recommended!

We recently attended Over The River & Through The Woods and enjoyed the performance so much that we immediately renewed our season tickets. Each production we have attended here is better than the previous. Always an enjoyable nite.

I have visited this theater twice during the fall of 2013. The pre-show experiences for both were miserable as we were all packed in the small lobby like a bunch of sardines. There was no reason to keep your guests packed in like cattle in a cattle car on the way to the butcher. The second visit was so bad... More
