For more than 50 years, The Jung Center has served as a nonprofit resource unique to Houston - a forum for dynamic and compelling conversations on a diverse range of psychological, artistic, and spiritual topics. Our mission is to support the development of greater self-awareness, creative expression, and psychological insight - individually, in relationship, and within community. The Center offers a variety of services, ranging from monthly art exhibitions, permanent exhibits, a bookstore and library sharing rare and unique Jungian literature, as well as classes, movie screenings and discussions. Programs are offered on the topics of Psychology and Life, Expressive Arts and Body, Mind and Spirit. Renowned authors and therapists from across the country come to share their wisdom and engage in meaning-filled conversations and dialogue. With an engaged student body of over three thousand new and returning students, and national and international faculty, The Jung Center promises to be a hub of spiritual and meaning-filled discussions in the heart of the Houston Museum District.

Art in Houston (Jung Center)

Nice place to see different local exhibits. Free and you can take classes (mostly at a cost). Also a nice book store/ gift shop.

The Jung Center offers more than 200 classes each year on ethics, religious studies, expressive arts, writing and meditation. The bookstore offers gifts, cards, books, and books on depth psychology. The gallery offers rotating art exhibits from emerging and established local, regional, and national artists. Very interesting place and good to visit.

The Jung Center offers wonderful classes that enable the creativity to flow. There are interesting exhibits and a library with books for sale or lend. It is a gem in the museum district.

Houston is such an interesting blend of culture, people, American and the wild wild west. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this amazing place, dedicated to Carl Jung, in Houston my stereotypes were once again challenged. From there website I knew they hosted cool events. What I did not expect on my first visit was such amazing art by local... More

There usually isn't a whole lot to see at the Jung Center though they do have rotating art exhibits most of the time and a charming little book store. The real reason to come is for the dynamic classes they offer across many topics - psychology, spirituality, art, culture, etc. I've taken a couple of courses and it's such a... More

This is an interesting place to visit with Jungian influence between their library and art exhibits. It feels like a den or a different world in Houston. It is a must if you have never been there.

3 stars is because I stop in sometimes when walking the museum district but don't really find anything that makes it a destination draw. Photos and books for sale

...this is the 'home' to C.G. Jung icon James Hollis, author of many books on Jungian life. if you have the opportunity to attend a lecture, this will be a treat. Otherwise, visit the interesting and very complete library....across the street from the Cullen Sculpture Garden.
