We went there on a Saturday afternoon ( September 12,2020). The place was packed. Mask is required but it wasn’t enforced. I saw many people with no mask. Social distancing is not enforced as well. The kids dragon area was closed, yet they were a lot of parents taking pictures for their children on the king chair, with no one cleaning it before or after! The stores were so strict about the masks though which is better than the mall.

This mall caters to any type of visit- an hour, a few hours, a whole day, there's a lot to do here. Huge variety of stores, very vast and diverse food court, and plenty of options for the kids to go play. There are some restaurants adjacent to the mall as well. The prices are fairly high if you go that route, but what else do you expect from a mall, right? Plenty of parking in various lots and garages. If you come at the right time, you may even catch hockey games in the ice skating rink.

Memorial City Mall is one of several large Houston malls. Convenient to the interstate highway and a large percentage of the metropolitan area, Memorial City Mall has a nice mix of familiar stores, specialty shops, restaurants, and different forms of entertainment to make your shopping trip an enjoyable one.

My family has been visiting Memorial City Mall on and off ever since we moved here in 2007. It’s not the closest mall to our house, but it has a little more to offer than other nearby malls. The mall has anchor stores like Target, Dillard’s, Macy’s, JC Penney, and others along with several specialty stores that keep everyone entertained. Most every member of the family will find a hobby- type store, clothing store, jewelry store, or other unique shop to make their visit a memorable one.

Memorial City Mall has specialty restaurants not usually found in shopping centers, like Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, etc. But the standout feature at Memorial City Mall isn’t the stores or the food court- it’s the extras, namely a double- deck carousel and an ice skating rink. I can remember the first time I visited with the family. We were impressed by the large carousel and the kids had a great time going for a spin. But we were even more impressed by the indoor ice skating rink. Houston has a hot climate and the idea that a city so warm would have an indoor ice skating rink inside a shopping center struck us as unusual, but in a good way. People can rent skates and glide across the ice, making it a great option for recreation and a dose of coolness during the hot season.

Memorial City Mall is large in size and requires a good deal of walking. It can get a little confusing finding your way around, but if you pay close attention to the signs and arrows, you should be fine. With many malls, you have to locate a directory to navigate the mall, but at Memorial City Mall, every time you come to a possible place to turn, they have a guide on display indicating stores, food court, etc., with arrows pointing you in the right direction. This is a simple touch that makes a big difference in helping customers find their way around.

Shopping centers have their usefulness, but the best among them are more than just places to shop- they are also places for fun, games, and entertainment. Based on these measurements, Memorial City Mall ranks among the very best in the Houston area and it’s certainly a mall worth seeking out.

Parking is hell on the weekends

They have most stores but I would go early and maybe park by the Macy's...

They have 4 large resturants but u better make reservations because u will be waiting a long time if not.

I know its the holidays when i was there but man theres just no place to park. Had to valet park after looking for an hour to park. Nothing to intresting in this mall though. To crowed and to noisy (holiday rush). The theater there is mediocre, makes u think its fancy when its not like the self checkout computer looks like it come from the 1990s and probably did. Would recommanf if u dont want to walk a lot.

I enjoy shopping here when out of town. But the Target always seems so disorganized and stuff misplaced everywhere like a tornado had went thru it. I like the stores that the mall offers. But most times I don't feel safe here alone.
