My friends and I attended on of the last WICKED shows at the HC and throughly enjoyed it. Although a few of us had seen the show before some had never been to a play. Thanks to the HC for providing an excellent experience to encourage more theatre outings! 💚

We went to see Wicked and it was the first time attending the musical at this location. I had seen this particular musical on Broadway so there is a sense of comparison. The show was outstanding.....acoustics pretty good with electronic help. The music was just the right level and never over shadowed the performers. The theater holds about 2500 people... More

As a Houstonian, I am sad at the actual theatre experience at The Hobby Center. The actual performance of Wicked was phenomenal, exceptional in fact. The theatre experience...Rude ushers yelling at people not to take pictures, even when they were not taking pictures. They kept yelling at people right in my ear as I was in the asile. Crunching snack... More

Hobby Center for the Performing Arts boasts a beautiful lobby serving really good food (not snack food) almost up to show time. This helps when you want to work a full day and then catch a show but may not have time for a long dinner. The hosts encourage you to share a table with others (hearkens back to school... More

Venue is nice. It's easy to get to off the interstate. Our seats were in the gallery. You have two choices....wait for elevator which had a long line or take the stairs. There are restaurants within walking distance. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe before the show. This was a great Girls a Night Out!!

My first visit to The Hobby Center, I found it to be a lovely theater, a convenient location, easy and quick entrance and exit, and with easy parking nearby. While it was my third time to see Wicked (different cities), what made this really special for me was the free ear buds for hearing impaired that was synched with their... More

So, we came to Houston as a surprise visit for my 8 year olds birthday so she could see Wicked!!! We stayed downtown so the venue was easy to locate. We were able to take advantage of the free valet for Lexus owners and everyone was very accommodating when I didn't know how to retrieve my electronic tickets via email.... More

We saw Wicked on a Sunday evening and since it was a last minute "hey let's go here for a fun date night" and we've never been to the theatre I thought I'd start w/the "cheap seats" in the Gallery and I WAS IMPRESSED! There's really not a bad seat in the whole place so if you want to save... More

I've now attended two musicals at the Hobby Center and both experiences have been amazing! There is a parking garage right next to the center that I believe usually costs $12 a night but if you own a Lexus, there is usually complimentary valet parking at the front of the venue. There is always a long line to get into... More
