This is a fantastic stadium. We need to build one of these in Nashville. Everyting was exceptional... seating, sight lines, video board and sound system. Concession prices were exceptionally HIGH. $11 for a draft beer.
Visited the stadium for texans-colts game on december. Lots of people, but the lines werent too bad I think. The ceiling was closed as usual and the atmosphere was nice. Very low prices compared to many other stadiums for food and drink.
Visited NRG back in 2009 when it was still Reliant for a few high school graduation ceremonies. It was clean and comfortable and stadium staff was friendly. The air conditioning was very nice since it was May/June and extremely hot and humid outside. Definitely a...More
For sure we go to NRG for the games and concerts, but my mainly review today is about the Disney on ice shows. Employees on doors are welcoming kids in such smiles and lovely attitudes. They are so patient with young children, talking softly to...More
Saw a Texans football game here recently. The stadium is easy to get in and out of. But before going in, check out the few opportunities of good tailgating just right outside where fans are just chillin and having a great time. Sponsors inside the...More
Caught the Houston Texans game and it was fun times. Security and stadium staff were very friendly. All the views in the stadium looked pretty good also. I downgraded the stadium ratings because of the concessions. You expect that all stadium food is expensive, but...More
Recently visited for the Texans/Colts game. Fortunately the Colts won. Stadium was clean easy to move about. Staff were friendly. I travel to see my Colts play away games at different venues each year, and I'm pleased to say the Texan fans were very friendly...More
The Texans lost but we enjoyed the game. The stadium was very easy to get to and to get in and out. We had great seats in the end zone The food and drink vendors were all around and even with a pack house the...More

Hello Sarah, the best fajitas and margaritas by NRG are almost right across the freeway at Pappasitos Cantina. They have the best salsa for your chips and dip while you wait on your main course of fajitas to arrive in their smoking hot skillet ( literally ) 🤗 They usually have a few seasonally flavored drinks ( I think right now (April) is the pineapple mango margarita that has a chili flavored rim which is delicious ). I can't recommend any hotels around NRG to stay at as we live nearby and have never checked out hotels. I hope your friends have fun
Greetings, coming in for the weekend basketball games and wondering the best way to get from the Houston airport to NRG stadium. Can one take public transportation? Also, are there restaurants near the stadium to kill some time? Many thanks!

The best and fastest way to get to NRG Stadium is by Taxi or Uber , but you can catch Metro bus 102 from terminal C if coming at Bush Airport to Downtown then catch the Metro Red line rail going south to the stadium.
Transportation to NRG Stadium for Texans game (9 Replies)
We are 4 guys staying at the Springhill Suites Marriott on Dallas St. and are going to the Texans game on Sunday. Should we take the light rail or just uber it?

I agree with the light rail. As I have read before on another post....using Uber to the stadium is fine, getting a return trip is not much fun with all the traffic and confusion. Welcome to Texas!!
drive from NRG stadium to AT&T stadium on a sunday evening? (3 Replies)
well trying to see if this is possible, i'd like any information on possibility on making this drive to catch an early fball game in houston (12pm) and then driving straight to dallas (about 3pm) and catch the sunday night game at 7:30? my question is how is traffic leaving the game on a typical sunday? how are the freeways usually on a typical sunday heading up north to dallas? and how is traffic going into AT&T stadium on for a SNF game....it looks like it will be really tight but...More

Wow.....you are a die-hard football fan. The drive alone is 4 hours, now factor in stadium traffic on both ends, Texans game OT, construction/accidents/weather delays. I've heard the AT&T traffic is worse than NRG, but the drive up is an easy one. If you wind up taking US 287, watch for speed traps. In Madisonville, there is a Buc-ee's. This is a great place for one stop fuel, food and bathrooms. You'll see the signs for miles and is on the right side of the road for a stopover. ...More
