Metro isn't perfect but not bad either. I recommend.

It's a very cheap way to get around Downtown Houston and to the attractions on offer on the outskirts of it in wonderful Houston. For instance, the Houston Zoo stop left a short stroll through the park (Hermann?), it's an open pathway there, lots of...More

If you like danger, most people that ride the light rail are homeless, mentally ill, just released from jail, etc. It's a shitfest of the underbelly of Houston. Houston doesn't have a system to validate fares so all the scum ride it for free.

The best deal in public transportation is the bus ride from center city Houston to IAH. Similar bus accomodations to the FlyAway in Los Angles but at $1.25 ($0.60 for seniors). Best if you travel light.....you have to carry and cart your own suitcase. Watch...More

I love streetcars and Houston has one of the finest systems I've seen, and it's expanding. I played hooky from my conference one day and ended up on the southbound streetcar from Downtown. I figured I'd let it take me around town. I had no...More
