We had high hopes for the zoo, as we live within a day trip to multiple awesome zoos, but it fell short. With COVID, they're requiring masks even when outside and distanced from others and have staff roaming everywhere to yell at people to put their masks back on, even if they're just between bites/drinks. Very excessive. A lot of areas were fenced off and feeding experiences canceled due to covid as well. Our kids actually asked to leave. Save your money and go spend the day at a beach in Galveston instead!

Of course, I live right next to this wonderful zoo. So it only made sense to have a membership. And it’s been almost a year since I became a member after my first visit here, but couldn’t visit the place afterwards due to COVID precautions. Now that they are open and everyone’s more familiar with the precautions, we finally decided to visit with our one year old. It was real fun! And we also got a carousel ticket to take him. He had fun seeing every animal. And the aquarium is awesome as well. What impressed me is the strict COVID precautions even in the carousel, with them disinfecting it after each ride. Will visit again and love this zoo. My favorite animal encounter is the giraffe, ostrich, zebra combo.

I was going to record my own vlog at Zoo. I took my ice chest with me which was filled with my lunch. I explored the entire zoo to take pictures to post on Facebook. Later I got home, I told my mom I went there.

We really enjoyed our time at the zoo! There were a ton of animals to see and we went there were mostly out and easy to see. Plus there were so many baby animals! My main criticism was the food options are currently severely limited, but that didn't take away from our main reason for being there. Beyond just the animals, the zoo is beautifully landscaped and relaxing just to sit and people watch if you need a break from walking.

If it weren’t for my cell phone battery dying, or the heat affecting my health (and the need for social distancing) I would’ve preferred to stay longer to see the rest of the animals. But what I absolutely loved there was the intense physical energy from the guests interacting with the gentle giants, (elephants) Tranquil, and healing. Didn’t like cutting my visit short...but definitely, I’ll return again.
