Stopped by for a late weekday lunch. I received a very friendly greeting and was promptly seated out on the patio. I ordered the shrimp po boy which was pricier than expected but it was a large portion and very tasty. The negative was that my assigned server who was busy taking care of tables inside was unaware that I was on the patio waiting to place an order. Shortly thereafter, the server was attentive until it was time to pay my bill. At the time, my server got into a deep conversation with another customer. I’ll give them a mulligan.

Dined with family. Our bill was $87 for three of us. Karbach burger ($14) was delicious. Chili made with Crawford Bock Beer ($12) was awesome! My son’s ribeye was expensive ($33) and had a lot of fat on it ... disappointing. Hot, fresh pretzel ($8) was a great appetizer! We had two beers, which our mixologist suggested - they were good choices. Our server was Ashley - she was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back again ... but won’t order the ribeye again.

Had a guys beer tasting event the other night. Seven friends tasting 7 different classes of beer (e.g. IPA, Bock, etc.). Results were interesting. We focused on Texas beers as much as possible, so Shiner and Karbach went head to head as well as St. Arnold (Houston microbrewer) and one in Austin. It was a blind tasting with careful temperature control. Everyone was asked, "which beer tastes better?" For example Shiner's big money maker is their Bock, and they beat Karbach's Crawford Bock 6 to 1. Conversely, Karbach's money maker is Love Street (blonde) and they beat Shiner's Light blonde 6 to 1. St. Arnold's money maker is their Amber, Austin Amber Ale 5 to 2. Take a look.

This is an AWESOME Craft Brewery and Beer fans will appreciate the quality
I stopped here for lunch and beer tasting. Had a sampler with several of their
non IPAs including Love Street Blond Ale and Love Street Citrus

Then I tasted their BBH(Bourbon Barrel Aged Hellfighter with Vanilla.
It was very intense and yummy with 11.5% ABV

Besides their beer they serve excellent food and we had their THE PUB
Pizza with
Tomato Sauce, 4-Cheese Blend, Pepperoni, R-C Ranch Texas Wagyu Sausage, Mushrooms

A fun place for a good time!

We just happened to drive by going to a different activity and thought we’d try for dinner. The waitress was friendly, outgoing, great service! We ate outside which we discovered there is a dog section - gated area for you to bring your dog! Everyone was welcoming. The food was great. My husband did the beer flight, he loved it. We will definitely be going back!
Everything was clean, gave you real silverware, extra napkins, even a menu if you wanted. Great job during Covid!

We went for Octoberfest. Fun and enjoyable. We also went to the restaurant. We sat outside and had pizza and beer. Very relaxing atmosphere and did not feel rushed. Next time we will try the beer tasting. The wag shop had some fun items for purchase.

If you want a professional approach to serving in the post covid world, this is your place. Won't go into all the details, but they are the best we have seen at their plan and executing it. They also have a lot of outdoor space which is the safest place to be. The beer is of course A-1, value priced and there are lots of choices. The menu seems slimmer than precovid, but there is still enough choice. The portions were more than generous. The food was not fancy but solid. The pretzel was espeically good. We will absolutely go back soon.

Ok so I will definitely be going back to Karbach every time we are in Houston. My husband had been before but this was my first time and it was awesome. The Brussels sprouts were by far the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a flight of beer which was nice to be able to try a variety. For my meal I got the pizza and my husband got the shrimp. We also had dessert. I had the pecan pic, amazing! My husband had the creme brûlée.

We dined with a group of 9 for a late lunch. The beer choices are fabulous and tasty. One can select from the beer menu an get five 4 ounce glasses to try. The food menu is comprehensive. Tasty selections.

Our waiter spilled a full glass of ice water on my daughter. He was not very apologetic and seemed very callous. He was slow getting it cleaned up. We were wondering how this guy would keep his job, when the manager took all the brews off of the bill and presented us with a $25 gift card. This was most generous so I guess we will be back.

A group of friends and I typically go to Karbach about once a month just to hang out and check out the new beers. This last Friday we decided to go hang out there like usual. We were hanging in picnic table area for about an hour and we decided to go check out the new restaurant that they have built.
Whenever we walked in the manager yelled across the restaurant at us to go see the hostess. We thought it was unusual but we just walked over to the hostess stand anyway. We asked the hostess if they had any tables outside and she proceeded to seat us.
At the moment the server came over to our table she asked us if we were interested in any of there waters. We politely declined and asked for beer, giving that Karbach has some of the best beer in Houston, and she again asked us if we would like to try some of there waters. At that point we were a little surprised and again requested beer. She refused to serve us alcohol and told us the only thing that she would serve us was water. Upset, we left without being served. Two of my friends later went back to speak with the manager and he accused us of being rowdy and making a scene upon our entrance into the restaurant.
This was not at all the case and we left Karbach felling violated. I am not sure what kind of policies they have in place from the brewery to restaurant but we have always enjoyed the afternoons at Karbach and would hate to see original ideologies confused by an unqualified management staff.

Thank you.
