I enjoyed my visit to the Sundance Theater. It can be a one-stop movie and dinner experience. Upon entering the theater there is a bar area over to the left. You can order cocktails, wine, beer and food, which you can either eat and drink there or take into the theater with you. You can also purchase your movie tickets... More

We arrived for a movie 20 minutes before the movie. When we waked in there was no box office that was open. We found a small kiosk to buy tickets. The guy at the concession stand ended up selling us the tickets. Super unique as far as that goes. The theater was nice and roomy. It appeared clean (in the... More

My wife and I choose Sundance first when we look for movies to see. The facility is easily accessed through Civic Center parking, paid for by Sundance. The movie facility is clean and the staff is polite. Good food and beverage choices. Very comfortable and roomy seats. Highly Recommended.

Sundance is a step above the theater experience we are accustomed to. Leather furniture in the lobby, high-end wall coverings and upscale movie titling greet you. The auditorium featured spacious and comfortable seating with great projection and excellent sound. I wish we had something like this in Kansas City.

This is the place to see a movie. They allow you to buy your tickets online and pick your seats. The kiosk to pick up your tickets is super fast and easy to use. The food is nothing special, but we usually stick to popcorn. They do have a bar and the wine is reasonably priced. I rarely see kids... More

The good points, it's in downtown and in the middle of the theater district which puts it right next door to many restaurants and bars. It is somewhat elegant by being where is at and showing the type of movies that aren't always available over at the regular chain movie theaters. It is part of the Houston Film Festival circuit... My first visit. Line for food was 15 min long -- too long to place an order, but it was worth the wait. Caesar salad with grilled chicken was excellent. Wine was good too. Select your own seat; side table for food and drink. Very comfortable seats. Reasonable prices.

This theater is right downtown and accessible through the theater district parking garages. They serve beer and wine (and some food), and you can take your drinks with you into the theater. It's also nice to pre-book your seats ahead of time.

It offers indie films along with large studio movies on multiple screens, so there are plenty of options. The chairs were comfortable with side tables available, so dining and drinking were easy. No walk around or table service, so be sure to grab what you need before heading to your seats.
