this is just a middle of the road "outdoorsy mall" along 2- 3 lock square with chain retail stores... nothing to write home about

Rice Village has some of my favorite Houston restaurants and shops. There is a Half-Price Books and a Chocolate Bar on University which are great for all. Restaurants include Torchy's Tacos, Black Walnut, Brown Bag Deli, and many more. The only downside is you now have to pay to park, which sucks. Parking is free on the streets, though.

I love Rice Village. Good assortment of shops and eateries. Torchy's Tacos and many other spots offer outdoor dining. Trendy area where everyone fits in.

The village is a popular shopping area offering a variety of retail options. Everything from Half-Price Books to MAC to cookies to Kendra Scott jewelry, plus my personal favorite eatery, Prego. Parking's difficult but worth the effort. Park once and just stroll the neighborhood. A fun outing for sure.

Not up to what we had heard. WE did not feel the shops were really special. Our lunch was good but not special. The service was very good but atmosphere, food and value? Maybe we just expected too much.

Ate at Coco Crepes Waffles and Coffee. Had the breakfast croissant. Was not disappointed. Service and food are very good. Felt like I was at a French cafe.

Came here on our trip to the states but was very disappointed . Yes there are a few named shops but restaurant but there are also a lot of empty shops. The place looks rather run down in my opinion . The reviews on TripAdvisor were very misleading and gave the impression of much better shopping experience than it was

After battling the Galleria which gets all the tourist press I discovered Rice Village. Great collection of medium to high medium priced shops with wonderful cafes and local restaurants. What was going to be a one hour excursion became a half day excursion, and then I went back there for dinner. If you have a shopping bug or want to... More

The Rice Village is a hugely popular shopping and restaurant center that both locals and visitors adore. Filled with block after block of shops and restaurants, Rice Village is family-oriented and you will spot many families with youngsters in tow or in strollers. Shops from chain stores like Gap, Victoria's Secret, Express, etc. and individually owned specialty boutiques are joined... More
