The Czech Center Museum Houston is proud to be one of Houston’s eighteen fine museums, dedicated to the exploration and preservation of Czech and Slovak heritage. There are estimated one million persons of that descent living in the state of Texas who have contributed significantly to the development of Texas and most certainly to our nation. Not only do we further the public’s knowledge of Czech and Slovak culture but we also serve as a catalyst for discussion of all heritage, as we become a citizen of the world when we know our hosts; at the same time this lends to a more civil society. Thereby, the Honorary Consul, Brian Vanicek, assists US & Czech citizens in some legal and consular issues related to the Czech Republic at the offices of the Czech Center Museum Houston. Furthermore, our beautiful Baroque Palace is the perfect venue for almost any kind of event. We have hosted an array of events including concerts, seminars, weddings, group tours, and art exhibits.

Took my Brother & Sister-in-Law for the tour, I had been there before. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke Czech as well. All of us were very impressed and will retun again. Real value for the small tour fee.

We recently visited the Czech Center in Houston. The building and artifacts were beautiful. I wish that there was information on Czech sports teams - especially soccer. It would be nice if they played Czech music, as well. They had some lovely items in the...More

They have great Czech paintings displayed along with collected glassware. They are eager to show you around for a tour and answer any questions. I was impressed with their knowledge of Czech history. Cute gift shop.

I was a little disappointed by the Czech Center Museum. The building is quite large, but a lot of the space is banquet space that the museum rents for special events. I just did not find a whole lot of interest, although I did enjoy...More
