Houston Sightseeing Tour and Galveston Day Trip

43 reviews
Experience both the Lone Star State’s bustling modern and quaint historic sides with this tour of contemporary Houston and storied Galveston on the Gulf of Mexico. Explore downtown Houston by double-decker bus before setting off to admire the Victorian mansions and Strand district in Galveston. Round-trip transportation leaves time for the beach or a dolphin-watching boat tour.

Our family of four (parents and 2 college-aged kids) visited the Escape Now today and did the Sherlock Room. It was the first time for 3 of us to do an escape room. We had so much fun that we booked another room. Classroom Capers, for tonight. Don't be shy to ask for hints. You have 4 of them. We only used 3. Be prepared to work together. Some of the room is linear, and some can be done at the same time.

We did Escape Now after doing all 5 rooms at The Escape Game Houston. We did Spy Room 1, Superhero, and Classroom Capers. These rooms felt very bland to me as I prefer the more immersive rooms. It felt like we were in a shopping center with a few decorations on the walls. The puzzles at Escape Now are way "out of the box" and it didn't seem to really flow well. You had to wait for each puzzle to be completed before you could really get to the next one. I don't feel like you are able to use your time wisely enough. Superhero was pretty cool, it had some neat puzzles. The tools we needed to complete the final puzzle to escape broke so after telling our game master a few different times that it wouldn't work they came in and gave us a different tool to do the final puzzle. That was frustrating but we still got out. The Classroom Caper was horrible. It was all over the place and just was not fun. This was our 8th room of the weekend and the only one we did not escape. It also required way too much time on the individual puzzles so there was no real ability to divide and conquer. It is definitely not suited for younger kids/teens. It would be perfect for a group of mathletes/physics geniuses but not your average run of the mill family with kids.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As mentioned the The Escape Game Houston do indeed have great games that are highly immersive and our games are very different. All of our rooms do have multiple 'paths' and are non-linear so you should have been able to 'divide and conquer' in the rooms. We recognize that all of our rooms are challenging when compared to The Escape Game and a different experience. I'm sorry that our escape game experiences did not meet your expectations.

This place is a great place to have some fun. The establishment was clean, and the employees were friendly. Caleb welcomed us when we walked in and was very helpful. The "gamemaster" was funny and gave us the instructions before the game. The room itself is simple but well made and maintained. Overall great experience!

Played the school room with my friends. Made us feel like we were back in high school. We only had a few minutes remaining when we entered the correct code to escape. We had to do it three times, the door would not open. The operator had to come in and tell us it was the right code just the door would not open, so we Technically escaped. It was fine in the moment cause we all just laughed it off. We took our team photo but it was never posted on the Facebook page, he said it would only take 30mins. I get things mess up so we weren’t super mad. Maybe it was just an off night, but I was just a little disappointed from such great reviews.
