This three-time Silver Medal Award Winner features magnificent views and its two dramatic back-to-back par five 10th and 11th holes, which shoot down from the top of the Caprock to the blue shores of Lake LBJ below.
The views are wonderful. Conditioning of the course is very good A great venue for a group or couples outing
The companion course, Ram Rock, is currently undergoing renovation as well as the club house, etc. enjoy a Hill Country setting
I live in the Texas Hill Country and this is one of the best courses you can play without a doubt. The front 9 is fantastic and demands your best golf, while the back 9 provides a chance to score. The 10th hole could easily...More
The Applerock Course at Horseshoe Bay is a beautiful course. There are some great hill country views and while the course is not easy it is not punitive either and can be enjoyed by golfers with a wide range of handicaps. It is definitely worth...More
There are few courses in the area that have the combination of challenge and beauty as "Apple" (how the locals refer to it). Whether I go out for a quick nine in the afternoon or bring guests to play 18, I always have a great...More
Picturesque, challenging golf course, yet able to be played by novices. Didn't feel pressured by group behind us. Course is well managed for start times. We saw deer and other wildlife. Course we'll maintained. Starter, Nathan and pro shop and grill personnel were very courteous....More
Apple rock was very scenic. Starts out with a great front 9, lots of variety, good views, well designed. After the nice, short par 3 over the lake #12, the stretch of par 4's on the back 9 are a little weak, but overall a...More
Decently hard, LONG course from the ladies tees. In great condition. Some claim this is the more scenic, as it has lake views, but it is comparable to Ramrock, which I preferred. Plenty of opportunities to lose balls. Nice facilities, very nice condition.
WOW what a course! It was in great shape even immoderately after the rain. Very friendly staff. The range and practice areas were great. Small pro shop with the bare necessities. Food ate the grill was very good and made for you as you waited.
Course was in great condition. Fun to play with just enough difficulty to keep you attention. Par 3's overwater pose the greatest challenge. Starter gave a great intro and even made sure we got a picture from the first tee. Snack bar was good and...More
I love this course. It is very challenging but not too hard. The staff loaded my clubs and took great care of us. I saw more deer and wildlife on many holes. Ram Rock is the hardest of 3 courses and Slick Rock is the...More
