I have just returned from a couple of days staying with Lynn and Nigel at their B and B with daily rides. I could not fault their welcome and hospitality throughout. The food and accommodation was excellent and the rides outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone whether experienced or a beginner.

After a warm welcome from Lynn, Nigel and of course Harry the Boxer, I was treated to a weekend of confidence-building riding on Blue and Tonto. The Devon countryside is beautiful and so makes for interesting rides - ups and downs, through fords, along valleys. As someone fairly new to riding, Lynn was encouraging and even helped me take a short canter along the river on my final day. My toes were able to warm up at the comfy B&B and I hope to come back another time. Thanks.

A last-minute decision for a long, horsey weekend, and what a treat. I have been riding on and off for many years but am not as confident as I used to be. Nothing to worry about as the horses were beautifully behaved: forward yet safe, and my horse Freddy (Clydesdale X, 17hh) was my dream horse. The horses were a real credit to Lynn, our host. Riding at all paces round the lanes, through woods and streams, steep-sided wooded valleys, and cantering across open fields. The riding is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced riders. Lynn and Nigel's hospitality at their lovely B&B/restaurant made me feel completely at home, and the food was excellent. I will be visiting again (although next time I will try and take Freddy home with me!!).

My partner and I have just had a really lovely riding holiday here. I had not ridden for many years and my partner was a total novice. However, they made us feel so welcome and at home. The riding was set at our pace through delightful countryside. The horses were extremely well behaved and the accommodation was very comfortable and homely. The whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. We had a great time and hope to come back for more riding. Thank you so much.

My daughter and I have just returned from a 4 day visit to Lower Ford. After many years of riding I had very bad fall 4 years ago my nerves and confidence had been shaken to say the least. 4 days with Lynn and I now feel I can do Badminton !!!! Her reassurance and bond with her horses helped me relax straight back into the saddle. My trusty steed Freddie stood at 17 hands, a height I had never ridden or even attempted before, however he looked after me and by the end I was cantering along with my 9 year old daughter, both of us smiling from ear to ear ! I would highly recommend lower ford and we will without doubt be returning. Thank you Lynn, team and horses .... Claire & Tabitha x
