Worth a stop by if you are in the neighbourhood. Nothing too out of this place though.
The ancient tree is quite fascinating too

A very unique place
Sep 2018 • Friends
family owned olive oil museum that describes in details not only how Cretans produced olive oil, but also how they lived in those beautiful villages for generations.
Charming museum manager/guide will show you around and will tell you in details the story of every item that is on display.
There is also a very good local tavern around the corner “Kapilio” with the best Cretan food I’ve had so far.

Fine but small

This is a fine little museum, but for none-greek speaking visitors it is seen in 10 minutes since there are no explanations in english. However, the museum is situated in a nice little village, so combined with a walk around the area, a visit to the nearby winery and dinner at the local restaurant, it is worth a visit.

Thanks for all your good words. The labels of the exhibits are now ready, both in English and Greek. It's a pity they weren't already there when you visited our museum! Next time?!
