If driving westwards you literally don't have any reason to get of the car, as it's on this side of the road. Just pull aside, take a pic and drive on - nothing else to do there.

This is a water tower that is leaning. It is viewable from the interstate so you can drive by and say you've seen it.

Easy to take a picture while driving on the interstate and Route 66. It was raining so we didn't stop but our Route 66 roadtrip photo album will have a picture of it.

Another great photo stop along Route 66, you need to get off the interstate to see it the best. It's certainly eye catching.
