I have been to this resort on multiple occasions now and decided to treat myself to a Massage. Big mistake.! The spa part of it was fine I enjoyed the steam room sauna and lounge but Worst massage ever. I signed up with Rebeca out front for the calming massage with aroma therapy. There was no aromatherapy introduced throughout entire spa up until the very end when she had me smell something. The massage itself was not calming nor relaxing. The technician, her name started with an M, simply poured lots of oil on me pounded it in. Did not work arms hands calves nor feet Or very very little that I can’t even remember. She focused on the back and neck a lot to the point of I was quite uncomfortable. Towards the end as I laid on my back she shoved her hands and knuckles up under my neck causing almost a whiplash affect as she force my back and neck up and off the table multiple times. I honestly was at a point where I was like just in this thing please. And for all of this I got to have an automatic 20% added to my bill. Wow!!! Oh and on top of all this, the technician had the sniffles with an occasional cough, this coming off of Covid so that wasn’t relaxing either. Service performed on June 20 2022. So in summary I know it’s not the spa‘s fault but since I can’t review the individual technician, I can only review the spa itself.

We have been to this spa on multiple occasions with nothing but good things to say. However, on this occasion, it seemed like everything went sideways. We were celebrating birthdays, so there were 10 of us and most had more than one service. Needless to say, we did not skimp on anything while we were there. One of the birthday girls wanted a gift certificate. I had to call ahead to the spa because I only located gift certificates in $100 increments and needed $275. The woman at the spa told me to buy the 2 $100 certificates online and then purchase the $75 the day of the event. I did so. Come to find out, the GT Relache doesn't offer gift certificates online, and the spa employee directed me incorrectly. It was for the spa in Washington DC. Instead of them honoring the gift certificate, they denied the birthday girl the credit and wanted us to call two days later "to work it out." It's the same spa company. No one could explain to me why this "accounting issue" couldn't be worked out internally rather than me jumping through all the hoops. Finally, after explaining the situation multiple times, I was told I would get a call from the other spa to work out the issue. I then agreed to cover the amount of the gift certificate on my card to avoid trouble for the birthday girl having to pay the full amount. The next thing I know, they charged the whole thing to my card. So, I have an unauthorized charge, no return call from the spa as promised, and the biggest debacle checking out to what should have been a great, relaxing experience. Despite all of my previous good experiences, I doubt I will be spending money here anytime soon.

I will start with the positives:
Facility is clean, spacious and has numerous amenities. Sauna, steam room, lounge, slumber room, co-ed lounge, showers, lockers and toiletries and access to indoor pool. Spa water, tea, trail mix and oranges are offered in addition to robes and shower sandals. There are lockers for your personal items and you are able to set a code to lock it. With all the amenities, it does feel like a luxurious day of relaxation and you are not limited on how long you stay.
We went for massages and the scalp treatment. The cost was $155 per person plus an automatic 21% for gratuity. It is pricey compared to independently owned spas but of course, you have numerous amenities to enjoy at your leisure. I was fine with the cost.
My daughter enjoyed her massage and scalp treatment. I was surprised that she was done before me and already sipping water when I came out. When you add an additional service to your 50 min massage, it does NOT increase the time of your service. It is done during the 50 min. I was disappointed with this because I did not feel it warranted an additional $25 and I wondered if the service was truly 50 minutes. The therapists spent a lot of time going back and forth to the counter, opening and closing cabinets, running water, etc.
My massage was not relaxing at all. I understand each massage therapist has their own technique but this felt scattered and I wondered about this person's training. The sheet in the headrest was doused in a strong oil and was overwhelming. Another large sheet was placed over top of my head and it made it difficult to breathe in addition to the pressure of the headrest on my sinuses. I've never had my head entirely covered like that and it was very uncomfortable and felt claustrophobic. The scented oil in the headrest sheet was extremely overwhelming and I had to ask for a new one. My daughter's massage therapist did not do this.
50 minutes went by very quickly. We also disliked the product used on our scalps. It left our hair feeling very dry and coarse. We had to wash it out immediately. I was surprised by this because I was anticipating it to feel like a Moroccan oil treatment since that was mentioned when discussing what was being used.
I would consider returning because the facility was so nice and my daughter's experience was much better than mine. I would not do an additional upgrade though.

The staff is nice and the sauna and steam rooms were clean and relatively spacious, but it just doesn't seem all that special for the price.
PARKING: The best part was that you can park right outside the Spa entrance and have access to the hotel without the hassle of parking in the parking garage, walking up to the hotel and then having to walk all the way through the hotel to get to the spa. We met our family there to enjoy the Christmas lights and dinner after our spa visit, so it was great to not fight the lines of cars for parking, which is so common in November and December.
Swimming Pool - You get access to the indoor swimming pool. It is quite large but because it is also open to all hotel guests there always seemed to be small children and very noisy. Wish they had a jacuzzi.
Quiet Area: This is located in the area when you first enter the spa, so it really isn't very private or particular relaxing if there are very many people coming and going. Would be nice if they provided some refreshments as I have enjoyed in other hotel spas.
Return? Probably not. For the price, it just didn't seem all that special. I expected more from such a lovely property.

We planned a group event with help from Christian at Relache Spa. He guided us to choose the right treatments and timing. During COVID, I was thoroughly impressed with the safety protocol, social distancing and comfort provided within the spa. The spa is only open on certain days, and was pretty busy on our visit.
We were welcomed warmly and received a tour of the expansive facility which includes the locker room, showers with lots of amenities, a eucalyptus steam room, sauna, indoor pool, nail and hair salon, treatment rooms, lounges (both co-ed and single sex) and a quiet slumber room with zero gravity chairs. Give yourself time to enjoy these wonderful amenities.
We started the day with a mimosa. Our providers were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We received services like the tropical island glow scrub treatment, the seasonal pedicure, facial, deep tissue massage, and other massages. The staff checked in on us regularly - both the service providers and the hosts.
Keep in mind if you bring a group: You can pre-order food and drink to consume in a private area of the spa with tables. You can also order from the In Room Dining menu and it will be delivered to the spa.
Also, the hotel provides dedicated parking near the spa with a ticket which is validated at the front desk. If you are not staying on property, this is the fastest route to the spa.
Thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality. I hope to return again!

As part of my holiday bonus, my boss had given me a TravelZoo spa treatment at Relache Spa at The Gaylord Resort. I could either get a select massage or facial. In addition to steam room and sauna access, showers with a full array of sundries and a plush robe and comfy flip-flops were provided, as well as a glass of wine, parking, and gift shop discount were also included. The entire spa staff were professional, courteous, and did an outstanding job. Demetrius, my massage therapist, provided a pleasant session. I had a very relaxing experience and I am grateful to have such a generous boss.

My husband and I booked a couple's massage here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I had never been there before and didn't know what to expect, but was pleased by our overall experience. I was shown to the women's lounge and given a robe and sandals to change into and shown around the facilities. Our couple's massage was so relaxing and peaceful. The two masseuses did an excellent job, and were quiet and professional. After the massage my husband and I were able to spend some time in the co-ed lounge, have a glass of wine, and quietly talk. I then went back to the women's lounge to spend some time in the sauna and steam rooms then shower. I was happy to see everything I needed to clean up after my massage was provided: shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body cream, hair gel, etc. I was able to blow dry my hair and leave looking refreshed. It was a wonderful time and I will definitely go back.

Great masseuses, but the spa itself is old and could use updating. That said, becasue its so mediocre, it wasn't busy - which was great.

Experience was just sort of so, so. My wife and I booked a couples massage for our birthday. The package was supposed to include a scalp massage. I got the scalp massage and my wife did not. My therapist asked what type of pressure and if I had any pain. I said no that this is just for relaxation. She proceeded after getting me all comfortable to tell me my hips are out of alignment and proceeded to do some chiropractic type maneuvers where she crossed one leg over the other and popped my lower back. Just a little aggressive and not what I signed up for. Also, the music was terribly loud and not at all relaxing. One segment had undertones of a woman wailing during it. Actually pretty terrifying at times. We were both just kinda glad to be done and out of there. The sauna and steamroom were fine. We go to a lot of spas and trust me this was a very AVERAGE experience compared to some truly 5 star experiences we have had.
