It is clearly a man-made beach. Though I can see how this is the place to be to escape the hot summer days. The boardwalk is a very nice touch.

Granbury has done a wonderful job creating this beach. The kids always have a blast, we enjoy the picnic tables under the huts for shade and the overall resortish feel.

Great sand, nice boardwalk right on the lake. Close to City Square as well. This place stays packed for a reason.

Stopped here for a stroll on the beach. It is not very big but looked to be well maintained. Water seemed to be clean. Since it is March there were only two other people on there.

Really nice early am or later in the day. Great during off season. A little crowded during peak season but still fun. We have rented jet ski's here in the past. Fun! Great place for a picnic.

I've been to the beach a few times. The beach itself is strewn with garbage, which is very disappointing. I like the cat walk over the water, but I would not swim there as there is so much garbage on the sand. I don't know...More

The pier/boardwalk was very enjoyable on a sunny January afternoon. I can see how it would be crowded in summer and probably a lot of fun for kids. The palm trees are very nice, and the thatched covers on the picnic tables very cute. Appeared...More

Great place to walk on boardwalk! Good place for families. Near enough to walk to downtown square. Many good restaurants on the square and antique stores to shop in.

I know this is called Granbury City Beach, but it is some sand on the edge of a lake. I am from Florida so I have a hard time thinking of this as a beach. I also grew up in Tennessee where we have a...More

Dawn to dusk is likely I saw no fences or gates of any kind. I think I read on the website-5 am to 11 pm.
Can anyone suggest a weekday that has the fewest visitors?

We went on a Friday afternoon. It didn't start to get crowded until about 6 pm. I'm sure any weekday would be fine.
