We spent a weekend in Granbury, the town square is very pretty, some cafes have bistro chairs outside for people to enjoy the place. There are a number of boutiques, The Granbury Theatre, a book store and restaurants on all fours sides. A lovely place to hang out in the evening when it cools down. We enjoyed watching Legally Blonde at the theatre in June.

I counted three wineries, dozens of restaurants and many specialty shops. What more could you want ? We actually spent two days exploring these locations while expanding our treasure hunts to include outlying antique shops. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The courthouse square is a happening place. One of the best small town courthouse squares in the country. Fun shopping in the stores and numerous lunch choices. There are also several nice places to eat dinner, bars and places with live music and broadway plays in the 1986 opera house/theater. We visited with another couple, we enjoyed our Friday and Saturday stay over the 4th of July weekend. Vendors were setup around the square for the holiday weekend.

There needs to be a restroom on all sides of the square - it's a hassle to find the one public restroom located behind the Opera House.

Granbury has the right ingredients for the whole family. This quaint little western town has ice cream shops, toy shop, upscale women's clothing shops, opera house, kithen store, home stores, and enough western flavor to make even the John Wayne fan reminisce while enjoying a great chicken dinner at the Babe's restaurant just off the square... or even a fine enchilada across the street. In the summer there are recreational activities on the lake. And there are tons of super cute bed and breakfast spots. I return here often! Great city parking barely off square. On another corner is a lovely tourist welcome spot that is well manned. Public bathrooms are clean / near parking. Enjoy!

We visited on a Monday. We didn't realize that there are several restaurants closed on Monday, but we did find a couple of places to visit. The town is such a cute, laid back place that reminds me of small towns year's ago. Can't wait to come back!

We love to stop and look around these TX town squares. There is always something good to eat, good places to shop (this area has antique shops and boutiques), and we can sometimes find historical sites, small museums, or live music.

This square has to be one of the most beautiful in the area. The city does such a great job with upkeep. We were lucky enough to go during Christmas, which is just beautiful. They have two giant nutcrackers at each entrance, great photo ops. Santas house, Santas library. We went to see a play at the Opera House and will be back. The shopping is great, they had so many Christmas gifts to choose from. And lots of great restaurants to choose from, something for everyone.

We walked the square, visited the shops, enjoyed wine and ate some wonderful food. We stayed overnight at The Hilton on the lake and enjoyed our visit there. This town reminds me of a smaller version of Fredericksburg. Being so close to home this will not be our only visit. We’ Be going back - several more places we want to experience
