The center of the square is occupied by the 1800's County Court. It is the county seat of Hood county and still functions as such. Around the square you will find quaint shops, great dining and entertainment venues. The local shop and restaurant owners welcome you with a Texan charm. We enjoyed the shopping and food to much, need to... More

Takes you back in time. Nice to take a stroll, watch a play at the opera house, and maybe enjoy ice cream or candy the old fashioned way.

This is a quaint little county seat with a beautiful old courthouse in the center of the town square. There are several boutiques, restaurants and a few art galleries. A nice way to spend an overcast afternoon.

Everything you think about in a Texas town square. Burger joints with milkshakes, candy, shops, movie theater, live theater, antiques and all. Great fun while you're in Granbury. Romantic at night as well, with plenty of lodging or B and B's around for a nice getaway. Near the lake and beautiful parks. Relaxing, entertaining and a good place to have... More

My wife and I went here on an afternoon during the week. Most all of the shops around the square were open. Had fun shopping. The courthouse is beautiful. There are several places to eat, however many are closed on Monday and some are only open on Thursday thru Sunday. But there are plenty of options around the area.
