For full transparency, I am an evolutionary biologist. While visiting Dinosaur Valley State Park up the road, I visited the museum to check out what this craziness was about. There is a hefty $10 fee to enter a single room. The room is filled with alleged scientific evidence supporting creation of all life as depicted in Biblical scripture. I actually laughed out loud when I saw T-rex and other dinosaurs placed inside a replica Noah's ark along with other animals (including people). Everything here is science fiction at best. At worst, it's a set of lies that sets science back two centuries. I believe one can accept both that life evolved and that a God exists. Why this place has to reject one for the other is disappointing.

"Dr" Carl Baugh is a fake - his "PhD" was the only one produced by the university where he was President. Originally it was in Christian Education but has now morphed into several technical degrees. ICR came and visited the alleged human/dinosaur footprints and claimed they were fakes. This is just deception that misleads others.

Hard to rate for the entire museum consists of lies and fabrications. For example, they claim that dinosaurs have existed at the same time as humans and that they have been on Noah's Ark?? But as an atheist it was incredibly entertaining and recommend it to anyone who likes tracked experiences. It was several times difficult to keep me from laughing.

This is a pretty cool place for adults and possibly older kids. There several artifacts related to Biblical creation. There are also a few dinosaur replicas and fossils. My husband and I enjoyed it but my two kids (5 and 8) got bored easily.

Worth a visit. Friendly staff and a great place to spend an hour to hear about creation and truths. Fossils, scientific evidence that is undisputed about some of the falsehoods being taught in school. Great to have all perspectives.

Saying this is a museum is like saying outer space only exists at night. Almost everything here is made up to sound like it is really telling you something. It is frustrating to see fake evidence presented, where real empirical evidence exists to prove the falsehoods of these claims and exhibits. Don't teach your kids this stuff, it is unfair to them.

I appreciate all viewpoints. That is why I felt I needed to see this place. As a Biology professor, I teach about evolution and many other aspects of Biology. However, I am also a devout Christian. But this "museum" is nothing more than an overly zealous attempt to equate Creationism with science. It is absolutely fine if someone chooses to believe in Creationism - it is a personal matter of faith, but this "museum" mimics other museums and presents notions and ideas based solely on faith - not on science. They state as facts things that can never be supported by facts or experiment. This place does not round out a child's learning experience... it is simply confusing and potentially damaging to their science education.

Can not believe the erroneous (and that is being kind) information portrayed here. Truly a waste of time. Head to fossil rim and get some facts and experience the actual areas where ancient creature roamed the earth millions of years ago. Visit the Boulder park. Avoid CEM. I am a practicing Christian and CEM is offensive.

If you are rating purely from an unintentional comedy standpoint, this place is more like 6 stars out of 5. I can't figure out if the people calling this place "informative" are attempting to make a very subtle joke or not. Actual science museums typically present theories and use the scientific method to explain the origin of the theory and present evidence supporting the thesis. This museum makes outrageous claims and uses pseudoscience and half-truths to support that which can't be proved (creationism).
Are you interested in someone attempting to prove the earth is only a few thousand years old (despite all evidence to the contrary)? This is your place!
Do you think a scale replica of Noah's ark--something that's not described in detail in any religious texts? This is your place!
Do you like the idea of a museum curated by a "doctor" who received his degree from a non-accredited university (Pacific International!?) who has been caught on multiple occasions trying to pass off forged fossils that "prove" that man and dinosaurs existed together, just like on The Flintstones? Again, THIS IS YOUR PLACE.

To start out I have to say the museum is....interesting. The hours are weird and even living in Glen Rose I have no clue when they are open. I thought it was expensive for what you get but then again I guess if you believe in it then it is worth the money?! Really though, non of the stuff they are preaching makes sense and it is amazing that whoever opened this place is able to make money off of these poor people who blindly follow what others tell them just because it sounds semi plausible. I do have to say the one thing i was impressed by was the Noah's Ark model. I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building that thing. I do think it is amusing though how there are apes in there using tools which clearly shows evolution and that there are dinosaurs with modern day bears but they are the same size. I also find it amusing that if you go to the state park right after they have on a sign that the entire story of finding a human foot in the stone is false. So I guess if you want to waste your money on going in there, try to think rationally about the whole idea and appreciate it for the work that went into building the museum.

You stated "I am also a devout Christian" and you teach about evolution. Are you deceiving children? Do you tell them that the discovery of DNA proves that evolution is impossible and that NO missing links exist or ever have?

First of all, let's begin with the common ground that salvation in Christ is that which unites us and this conversation should not divide us. With that in mind, what I teach is that science and religion are NOT mutually exclusive. The history of science is that we were searching to better understand the nature of creation. Most of humanity has forgotten that. When science challenges dogma, religious institutions often resort to persecution. Think Galileo. Most people do not know that Charles Darwin was IN FACT a very devout Christian. He struggled mightily with what he was observing and what he knew from Genesis.
I also teach that scriptures provided explanations in ways that were in language that was understandable to those of the communities at the time. Four to six thousand years ago, people had no language to describe the concept of DNA, quantum mechanics, string theory, basic astronomy, or the miniscule part that our entire solar system occupies in the universe.
Also, please do not forget that 2000 years ago, it was blasphemy to affirm salvation for gentiles who did not follow Talmudic Law.

The most walking will be from the parking lot to the entrance. I don't remember it being too bad. I had a bad hip at the time. The museum is pretty small and has places to sit if needed.

Is there a lot of walking? Husband had foot surgery 4 mos ag. wondering if he could take the walking

There is an elevator.. It is behind the desk of the volunteer. The longest walk will be getting to the building from the parking lot. It will be worth the effort.
