We finally stopped in one day after passing by for several years. I couldn't believe we hadn't been sooner!! The wonderful women were very knowledgeable and polite. Even my kids enjoyed it.

This is a nice & interesting museum. The only museum I've ever been to where they encourage you to pick up & look at things - that was awesome! The lady who gave us the tour was super sweet & gave my daughter a free bear & pencil. She let my daughter type her name on the old typewriter & showed her how to use a rotary phone lol Great quick stop if you're in the area.

Very knowledgeable people to guide you around. Everything from oil boom to Elvis Presley history. Located in downtown so close to good places to eat. Pleasant place to spend a couple of hours

This is a very well-curated museum featuring great photographs and artifacts from local history. Especially fascinating is the oil boom of the early 1930s when the town experienced explosive growth and thousands of oil derricks formed the skyline. Elvis was once a visitor early in his career, so there's an exhibit featuring him and other early 50s musicians. Our very pleasant docent provided a thorough and informative tour.

While Gladewater may be known as a oil boom town, there is so much more! Visit and learn about this great gem in East Texas.
