We walked along the river at dusk very pleasant indeed. Recommend this in the evening not during the heat of a summers day.

If you enjoy fly fishing the San Gabriel is a perfect place to enjoy. Most of the river is shallow enough to wade and the peace and quiet is the best.

A lovely shady drive led us to a beautiful covered picnic area. The river had waterfalls spilling over rocks & spillways.

This walk was simple and beautiful. The water was clear and worth the trip. Highly recommended for a light hike with a picnic lunch. So much fun!!!!

Honestly probably not. It's not like Lake Austin....much smaller and no real adventure. It is more of a get you feet wet with the kids kind of place....

There are a few RV parks on the river, East of Georgetown.
