Lana took our call and was efficient as well as friendly. On the day of travel, the Island Breeze driver was in text communication so that we knew exactly where to go for pick up. - Pauline D1 contributionWonderful companyIsland Breeze Shuttle was so accommodating to our needs on a recent cruise out of Galveston. Had to leave the airport two hours before ship closed doors and they delivered us with no problems! On return we had to leave for an 1100 AM flight and Island Breeze got us to the airport with an hour and a half to spare! To put a cherry on top, Island Breeze located a lost phone from our departure and helped us make arrangement with a local mailing company to insure the phone's safe return! I am so thankful to the friendly staff, Lana and Jim, for working with us! I will definitely use Island Breeze for my next cruise shuttle needs! BEWARE! If you are going on a cruise out of Galveston, Island Breeze Shuttle will charge you the full amount for your pickup (and return if you have one scheduled) unless you give them 48 hours cancellation notice - EVEN IF - you test positive for Covid. The problem is that there is no way you can give them 48 hours since the cruise lines require you to take your Covid tests within 48 hours of the cruise’s departure. So, you can’t give the shuttle company 48 hours notice when you have a positive test. This happened to my family, and we were charged the full amount of over $500 when I gave them 30 hours cancellation notice when we had a positive Covid test. They apparently have no exception for Covid. I couldn’t get anyone from the company to call me back to discuss this or negotiate, and got the run-around from the person who answered the phone. So, we filed a dispute with American Express and they were able to get a refund for us. Island Breeze Shuttle just lost us as a customer.

Thank you for your comments, and very sorry you were unable to cruise. Both our email confirmation and website clearly state our cancelation policy. It would be difficult for a company to separate COVID from any other illness as it relates to our cancelation policy. Travel Insurance is always a best bet.

I would not recommend Island Breeze Shuttle service.
Was told I would receive text message by end of business day to confirm pick up time and that if I didn’t I could call main number after hours (I was on a flight) and my call would be answered.
I did not receive a text at all and my calls were unanswered.
Driver was 45 mins late for pick up. Van was in disrepair (tire not holding air) was told by driver he had to drive slow because of it. Tire was first “excuse” why he was late, another was he didn't know the area and the third was he picked up another fare. Driver looked at his cell phone multiple times while driving at highway speed.
Total was paid in full without refund plus pre paid gratuities. We did not feel the need to tip extra due to our experience. Received “not for us” text from second driver expressing displeasure for not receiving an extra tip.

Our flight came in as scheduled. At 6:00 p.m. We were told the shuttle would be there at 6:10. At 6:10 we received a message “I will be pulling up shortly”, look for white shuttle orange/blue lettering. 15 minutes later he showed up. If You were going to be 25 minutes from the beginning then tell us 25 minutes, not 10! We then drove 45 minutes to another airport to pick someone up. Their plane was late so we had to wait over an hour! There’s got to be a point at which you take care of your current customers and come back and grab the other people. Then to add insult to injury they get dropped off first! Our hotels were 3 miles apart! This was a 3 hour disaster! Got to hotel about 9:10. When We had scheduled this shuttle knowing the hotel was 45 away I would have expected to be there in about 1:00/1:15, not 3 hours!

We called Island Breeze to book since some questions we had were not fully answered on the website. Lana took our call and was efficient as well as friendly. Beware!!!!!
Paid for roundtrip upfront from Bush IAH to Galveston.
Cruise line gave me misinformation and we were denied boarding so had to cancel return trip. Tried to call Island Breeze to push up return to Bush IAH and all I got was mail box full goodbye. When I finally got through 2 days after returning home I
Asked for a partial refund and told contract says no.
I said I understand but these were extenuating circumstances.
Told them I even tipped their driver $20.
They said the owner would be in touch.
Never heard from them.
I am sure there are better businesses to deal with than a company with this kind of attitude.
Try UBER instead

Do not use this shuttle company. We used them to and from Galveston; both times, the shuttle driver picked us up hours after the agreed upon time in the booking. No offers to remedy the situation, just told us to enjoy galveston for a few hours. Only use this place if you love to wait on people for hours and almost miss your cruise.

All I can say is incredible, wow, amazing, awesome! We had the day from hell with Alaska airlines, multiple delays due to maintenance issues, but no matter what, Lucky with Island Breeze was reassuring, letting us know that he would be waiting for us as soon as we finally made it to Houston. When we finally arrived in Houston, Lucky made sure we knew where he was parked and made it easy to find the shuttle. While in route to Galveston, Lucky was informative, friendly and funny. Once we got to Galveston, Lucky drove past local sites pointing out points of interest for our adventures the next day. Thank you Lucky and Island Breeze for making an otherwise horrible day so much better!

Our driver Trevor was awesome! He was always in contact with us and let us know his location of where to meet. I would highly recommend Island Breeze for transportation from Houston hobby airport to Galveston. They are very friendly. Thank you.

Used Island Breeze Shuttle for a pick-up and return to George Bush Airport in Houston. Jim was our driver going to Galveston and back to Houston. He was on time both instances, interesting to speak with and just an all around nice person. Thanks Jim enjoyed your company and thanks to Island Breeze for excellent service

Very well organized by Lana. Received a message once landed to let me know Pete was waiting for me in Zone 4. Ride was comfortable and knew all the short cuts to the pier. Two weeks later the same exceptional service by Denise on the way to Hobby. Will definitely recommend to all.

How many people can fit in the shuttle? I have 10 people going from Houston Bush airport to Galveston port

They may have more than one van, but if I recall ours had 2 benches behind driver, so ”7” if one sits in seat next to driver and 3 on each bench.... Call them super responsive.

it is a shared van but you dont have to wait for the van to be full. from houston to Galveston it was just my wife and I. After our cruise back to Houston we had teo other couples with us.
