They do not disclose that first Friday nights are Tejano nights even though there is no one dancing to the music. I like Tejano music all right, but I came to Galveston's only country dance hall to dance to country music. This schedule should have been disclosed on their website so people who are from out of town like us do not waste their time coming down there on first Friday nights unless they want to dance to Tejano music. DJ was totally unresponsive to the audience.

Great prices on Shiner and Corona for Happy hour and a large enough dance floor. Go early before it gets smoky though. Order a jalapeno bite!

Their website does not do them justice. The bar is friendly and customer focussed. They pay attention. Several times we were approached and talked to by the staff querying our happiness with the environment, music, etc. The music is very dance worthy. The DJs have a good ear for what is enjoyable to dance to...and, contrary to their website, it is very little line dancing. The only downside is that the dance floor is sticky and winds up covered in alcohol as they seem to have no restrictions on having beverages on the floor......and, they have no fans. This is a bar with dancing, not a dancehall with alcohol. Be prepared to be overly hot and sticky....because you will be on the dancefloor. The DJs are too good to just sit it out.
