We needed a cheap fourth attraction for our Island Pass or we wouldn't have bothered, but for the price (under $5) it was worth our while. You get a brochure that tells you about the theater and then take the elevator to the top and...More

Glad you enjoyed your self-guided tour! Hope you will come back and enjoy a performance in our beautiful, intimate venue! There is nothing like seeing a live performance in a venue with no seat further than 70 feet from the stage and the performers! Thanks...More

Easy location to get to and inexpensive to just tour the building. Make sure that there isn't a show that night because they will not let you in. If you want to see a show here, ask for Kim or Judy. They will find you...More

Whether you live here or just visiting you should make a point of catching a show at the Grand 1984 Opera House. Not only will you thoroughly enjoy the show/performance, but you will be amazed by the restoration of this historic opera house.

We've seen multiple performers at this venue and there just isn't a bad seat in the house (main floor especially). From Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett, Itzhak Perlman to the Houston Ballet....something for everyone and we just love attending shows there!

Beautifully architectured historic landmark where you can go enjoy musicals, operas, concerts and more! It's absolutely gorgeous and you can find a great seat just about anywhere! Saw "A Tuna Christmas" a few years ago and it was hilarious!

We have gone to many events at the Grand, the most recent being the musical "Mamma Mia". Just being in the wonderful, well-preserved venue is a treat. Excellent talent is brought in every year and everything we have seen here has been top-notch. If nothing...More

Just saw the opera "after the storm". A very charming historic landmark. Very inexpensive, affordable. Lovely people assisting folks to their seats and working the various stations. One complaint was how freezing it felt up in the 3rd floor. Obviously this was known by some...More

It is a relatively small venue which means you have a great view from any seat in the house. It looks exactly like an 1894 opera house. Very ornate and classy. there is a restaurant next door and across the street. They have elevators. Parking...More

Definitely a great venue for shows. Not a bad seat in the house. Was confused a bit by the way the tickets were sold online - all seats looked sold, then more seats became available after we already purchased tickets. Still worth it!

We don't have our own parking lot, so customers should utilize area paid parking lots. There is a large pay lot directly behind the theatre at 21st and Market streets, a parking garage also on Market at 21st on Northwest... More
