Great historic building on The Strand, featuring multiple spaces for an interesting variety of curated artists. Exhibits rotate regularly so there's always something new. This is one of the few places on the Strand that is not a tourist shop. If you enjoy contemporary art this is worth a stop. Gift store has wonderful jewelry.

We found the art center at 2127 Strand. Enjoyed the Aylsworth exhibit. The gift shop is extremely nice

We checked the website and found a jewelry class in Saturday. For $15 they provided all the supplies to make a rope knot necklace. The leader was very helpful. The gallery was small but the art exhibited was interesting. They also had a small gift...More

Took some of mom's earlier work down to the Center, Market street is down town about 8 blocks from Cruise ship docks. As you walk around the downtown or Strand area there are signs as to events, older buildings, and markers about storms.
