- Reed NMarble Falls, Texas13 contributionsRelaxing and FunWe really enjoy putt put but to be honest many are not well maintained. This one has 36 holes, one beach side and the other is the tropical forest. We really enjoyed the tropical forest and the holes are a bit difficult. You need to bring cash, it's $10.00 per person if you want to save on the ATM charge on site.Visited June 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten June 26, 2021
- MicDenton, Texas286 contributionsMini golf fun for kids and adultsMy husband and I visited Magic Carpet Golf just after Christmas. We arrived at 11:00, and they were already getting busy. This mini golf place has two courses, the easier one with views of the ocean and the harder one on the rear side of the property. We opted to do the easier course, and it was still tons of fun. This is an older establishment with quirky figures, animals and a pirate ship with a waterfall. The greens were well maintained and everything was clean. There is a fairly large parking lot, which is shared with the batting cages, so you don't have to find parking on the street. There are a couple of picnic tables near the course if you want to hang out. Magic Carpet only takes cash, but there is now an ATM on the property (right next to the ticket booth).Visited December 2021Written December 30, 2021
- BrianJackson, Missouri15 contributionsFun Time for FamilyWe usually play mini golf daily on our vacations. This seems to be the only option on the island, so that didn't happen. However, it's well maintained and fun. We had a great time and the kiddos loved the props. The only thing keeping it from a five star is the cost of $10, cash only, and exclusion of a break for youngsters 3 and under is a negative.Visited July 2021Traveled with familyWritten July 20, 2021

Friday we visited here. The attendant was very nice. The prices were great. We took the easier course since we have a 5 year old. The course was fun and they were nice. We also had a stroller which was difficult to move around in a view areas. But over all, a great experience. So much fun.

No this isn't a course built in 2022. But it has the charm that many today lack. They only take cash. But if you don't have it there is an ATM for you. Two courses. The easier one faces the gulf. The harder is on the back side of this mini mountain. We chose the backside which was a mistake on the day we went. Very hot day with no breeze on the backside. Not the fault of the property. It was a fun series of holes. Yes some of the turf needs updating. I'm not a pro so not a big deal. What seemed to be an easy hole proved more difficult than you might think. A fun bit of time spent in Galveston.

Overly expensive. Needs updating. At least let people play both course for 10 bucks a person. Won’t be back. No restrooms unless you want to walk to the back of the property by the batting cages.

Reasonable prices. Place kept in good working condition. Nice landscaping, some shade, great views. Imagine it’s not handicapped accessible. The lady who works there was efficient, not effusively friendly, however worked with us when one of the kids lost a ball.
The holes were unique, fun, challenging, didn’t see numerical markings, but logically placed starting and ending places.
Played front course because of the views and greater availability of breezes to reduce mosquitoes, which we saw none of that course.
It’s miniature gold and will add memories to your vacation

My friends and I had so much fun playing miniature golf. We played the "hard" course and the obstacles were some of the most fun we ever played at. The level of the course increased as we proceed through the holes making it more fun and challenging than being on one level for all of the holes. For only $10/adult it was a bargain. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect for this outdoor fun activity.

We had a nice little fun family evening of mini golf and batting cages.
This location is cash only, so be prepared. It’s $10/adult and $7/child for golf. It’s two 18 hole courses. The front is “easy” and back is “hard”. Our son really enjoyed it and hit a hole in one on the first try! There’s snacks available for purchase and a shaved ice truck on the property.

Perfect for families, friends or dates. We have played both courses and truly enjoy them both. They are right on the seawall so just across the street from the ocean.

Great course, some challenging and fun holes, and clean and well kept up. My only complaint is they don't take credit/debit card. Had to drive down and find an ATM and pay a fee because of this. No excuse as to why an entertainment/tourist attraction in 2019 doesn't have credit card capability.

My family really enjoys mini-golf and whenever we're on vacation, we try to hit up the local course. Magic Carpet is a fun, old school mini-golf course. It includes both an easy and a hard course. The $10 per person admission only allows you access to one of the two courses. We did the hard course which was fun with some unique, interactive elements. And the hard course apparently has more shade!
Note they only take cash or checks. Also, the snow cone truck near the entrance makes great shaved ice!
