This museum surprised me as it was actually very informative about pirates and resident Galveston pirate legend Jean Lafitte. It's a small museum but has a lot of interesting tidbits about pirates both presented through the exhibits and the audio tour. It's a fun way...More

We were a little disappointed in this attraction. I think we would have enjoyed it more if our kids were younger.

My son likes pirates so we thought we'd check this place out. I thought it was going to be just another tourist attraction. Our so called pirate journey started out kinda of weird, but turned out to be more of an educational visit for my...More

Well we went this last summer and found it very lacking. It's a self guided tour of what's supposed to be an old pirate ship, kids can do a scavenger hunt to find things and that was the only saving grace because nothing was authentic,...More

pretty cool tour that you wander thru and listen to information of Jean LaFitte and other pirates that influenced Galveston, New Orleans, and Mississippi. There is also a "scavenger hunt" that you can play (aimed for younger people to keep their interest) but it is...More

This museum is for all ages. It’s small but well done and gives an historical view of pirates in the area.
