It's unfortunate that I compare Galveston to California but let's be real Texas beaches are dirty. This location is a bit nicer than the East Beach but it still just a dirty Texas beach. This one's more family oriented and is more suitable during spring break than East Beach.

Even in December this is a must see! Almost across the street from the hotel it was to tempting not to go put our toes in the water and pick up sea shells!

It's a beach, not quite as wild and crazy as it once was I don't think. We tend to find less crowded areas down the seawall when we want to hang out on the beach in Galveston

When you want to get sand between your toe's and wash them off before leaving, this is the spot. Restrooms and services available on site. Your in walking or delivery distance to Mario's Seawall Italian & Pizzeria which makes it even more convenient to enjoy your day. There's a small charge to enter the beach but worth it.

Clean beach with restrooms and concessions just up the steps of building nearby . Outside showers available for those that just want a quick rinse as well as full showers up the stairs . No alcohol is permitted on this family beach . Umbrellas and chairs for rent or bring your own . A Walgreens across the street if you... More

This is one of Galveston's better beaches. It's also one of it's more busy beaches during tourist season. It's often well maintained as far as trash pick up, and seaweed cleanup.

Stewart Beach is always a beautiful place to visit but especially at sunrise. The beach is cleaned nightly.

Beautiful beach, very clean. A drive on beach which we really wanted to do. Not too crowded, facilities nice.

Despite the negative tilt that Galveston sometimes gets for its beaches and water this one is very well kept and clean.
