We have bought pieces here multiple times in the past in spite of the chaotic display and organization. We were really pleased to see how well the place has been cleaned on sorted. You actually can see items without having to dig for them!
If you a renovation project in the future, you should stop here. They have a large number of items that can really and a lot to any project. Their stained glass pieces are very nice, as are some of the furniture pieces that can be built in to a new room. There are a lot is "smalls" on display. The many rooms upstairs are filled with items, but the art pieces are poor.
The colorful history of the hotel is a real draw for visitors. There are a lot of tourist visiting when the cruise ships are in port.

This is one of places I bring our out of town guests in order to experience the flavor of Galveston. I have an 1896 house that occasionally needs salvaged pieces, which I always am able to find here. The knowledge that the owners have is priceless. I recommend a visit. It will take about an hour to stroll through all the very well organized rooms of the historic hotel.

Given that this shop (very large space) is tied into the Historical Galveston non-profit, you would expect it to have far more interesting and exciting salvaged pieces from such a historical town. The houses in the city are CONSTANTLY being refurbished or repurposed! Sadly, that is not the case unless you are in need of: Victorian cottage doors, office doors which are very large and wonderful, but heavy--good prices, mismatched window frames, scraps of un matched lumber, and rusty window weights. There are some Made in China "architectural pieces", some beat up lights that may be of interest, and some bathroom fixtures in need of work. There were a couple of big pieces (very nice oak cabinets) that were in the store, but were marked "sold."
The staff is limited to one person who is nice, but not very helpful. The space has an interesting reconstruction of a Victorian Cottage, but they have done very little with it. There is some very bad art on display, but not much more.....
In the past, we have found a piece of interest here and bought it, but I see few sales in the future for this effort if the merchandise does not greatly improve. There are a number of interesting antique stores in the city, I suggest you try them first.

The staff is some of the most rude, disrespectful people that I have ever dealt with. It is shocking the way they treat customers. I can promise you that the moment the store opens, and if you call them they will tell you that they’re too busy to talk to you and even hang up on you. They haven’t quite figured out how to use the hole button but since they pretend to sell items and pretend to talk to their imaginary dealers I am quite sure that they are pretending that they’re busy too…They absolutely will not return phone calls and neither will the owner of the store. The owner of the store actually pretends to check with her dealer when in fact, she actually is the owner of all of the space 😆….. they’re definitely some of the most immature clowns you will ever come across and do yourself a favor and price shop eBay and Etsy before going there! Their items are also very overpriced, they refuse to ship, or even take off $50 on a $600 item. The owner actually admitted to pricing items in her store that she doesn’t want to sell so that’s why they have been treating me so bad. Ridiculous behavior for a business to engage in. These people will make it so difficult to buy anything from them I can promise you that. If you want you can email me and I can tell you more who knows what else they have done to people, their business practices def give me scammy vibes email me at

This is a tres cool joint. It is jam packed with antiques & curios as well as salvaged architectural pieces & decorations. In the same trip that we found door sets for antique doors in our home, which we were not able to find any where or online, we also found porcelain fixtures that fit our matching antique bathtub and sink. Plan the time to get lost in this place.

Don't let the unassuming building throw you off. The Antique Warehouse is located in an old Hotel/Brothel from back in the day and they have some great stuff. Not so much antique store as Victorian era architectural salvage store. They must collect every salvageable piece of architecture that has ever been dismantled in Galveston Texas. If you need period style architectural pieces this is the place. They have lots of neat parts and pieces that could be repurposed into other things. Hundreds of period doorknobs, fixtures, lamps and chandelier parts, hinges. They really know what they have too. Instead of just searching aimlessly amongst everything, ask them to narrow down your search. Some of their pricing is over the top, but I did not purchase any item that I needed to bargain for so I don’t know how hard or easy negotiating prices can be. Most of the typical antique store fair is located in the rooms upstairs and each room kind of has a theme. Something for everyone. Want or need an iron or brass bed? There is one whole room dedicated to that. There are some great antique pieces in this place but where they really excel is their volume of Victorian era architectural salvage. Worth a look for sure.

A spur of the moment trip to Galveston to enjoy lunch and quick trip to the local Antique Warehouse turned into a truly, fun and enlightening afternoon! I am not sure if there is a teenager out there who would have a good time antique shopping with his parents, none the less, but ours did! Thank you to Scotty for your expertise and engaging our son into conversations about antiques, but especially life! So fun and a pleasure to have met you - and we ended up with the antique doors we came for! Project to be posted when completed!

There is a lot of "stuff" to pick through here. Some good, some bad, some old, some new, and some just plain junk. The ratio is not 20% of each--more like 2, 20, 30, 10, and 38 If you know what you are doing, this is a great place to find the "hard to find" item you can't find in your home town. We were very happy to get what we wanted at a decent price.
Warning, there are some very improperly priced items here! I think the pricing policy is to add more to items that with have broad appeal or are "eye catching."
All that being said, this is a fun little place to visit and we will be back. Make certain you have on your "grubbies" because this is a messy place!
The "brothel history/stories" are also a drawing card for this place. Keep that in mind if you have young kids--avoid going up the stairs!
Thee is free parking right next to the property. There is a Farmer's Market--as such--on the weekends next to it. If you go, get there early, because they do sell out of items fast.

When visiting Galveston, you have to check out the Antique Warehouse. They have all kinds of antiques, and the city's largest selection of reclaimed lumber and moldings for restoration or putting together an antique look. Scotty, the Owner is very cordial and most helpful in helping you find exactly what you are looking for. The warehouse is situated in a historical old brothel, and provides a glimpse of another side of Galveston upstairs. You have to check it out!

If you can't find it here, it may not exist! Scott is so helpful as well having a huge selection of "just about everything". He and his family are a real asset to Galveston.
One can't forget the beautiful furniture he builds from re-claimed wood, custom orders too! My only complaint is when dear husband heads over there, returning hours later, with more stuff. We don't need anymore stuff!!!
