Fun Place

It was too windy and high waves to fish. We had a good time on the top deck drinking a beer and watching the waves!

I took my two girls out for an all night fishing trip on the pier. This was a very good experience. First, they had all the bait you could need, a restaurant that delivers food on the pier or you can eat in the restaurant. They had clean restrooms, and plenty of places along the pier to fish, cut bait,... More

I guess it might be worth paying to walk on the pier if you have never been to any of the many other piers in the US that are free (Santa Monica and San Fran come to mind). If you want to deal with unfriendly people and pay way too much for what you get go ahead and drop your... More

This was a disappointing attraction. You can only go beyond the store if you pay and are fishing. The staff in the store were not very friendly.

Dear Disappointed, I am sorry to hear my staff was not friendly, they are known for being very upbeat so this will be addressed. However, just to let you know if you eat at Jimmy's we give you a band to go out for free! Yes we have to monitor and have people pay to go on the pier, wish... More

Good pier. Friendly people. Fishing was $12 a pole. Not cheap but a bunch of locals seemed to be there.

My wife and I arrived early and the pier was fairly empty. We pretty much had our choice of spots to fish from. We both caught fish and had plenty of bites, but nothing to brag home about. We mostly got bites from croakers and catfish. It was about as we expected. The admission fee is good from 5a-5p and... More

My husband, son, and I all had a great time fishing on this pier. We caught a small catfish and also seen a sea turtle and a few crabs. It wasn't over crowded, it had bathrooms, and was really relaxing.

First time taking my family to Galveston Beach March 18, 2016. The beach shore was so filthy we couldn't even stay. There were numerous dead fish (some were large) washed up, some light blue jellyfish type, and tree branches on the shore. Not to mention the trash left from people. In addition the water here is a grayish brown. It's... More

Hello, I am so sorry to hear your disappointing experience in our wonderful island, there are areas that can be disappointing but for the majority of the island it is wonderful. Sometimes we have the tides bringing in brown water and sometimes our visitors do not respect our home and our wonderful resource. I am writing you though because it... More
