About
Beach rides are only 45 per person per hour ride. This is on public beach you are more than welcome to take your horse out in the water we do not crowd the ppl on the public beach we share. Then we have a beautiful bay ride that is 35 per hour per person this ride is on private land so you see birds of all kinds cows and calves, crabs fish, and the greatest part of the ride is the quite and unstressing.

Why is this activity still being listed?
Jul 2015 • Solo
Why on earth is this activity listed on Tripadvisor despite what seem like very trustworthy sources (see earlier reviews) claiming these animals have been abused and neglected and a number have been seized by a horse rescue service. Just looking at the photographs, the horses don't look in great shape. Tripadvisor - please do something about this. This type of outfit should not be given ANY promotion.

Nice ride
Aug 2014 • Family
Nice ride, personnel is very friendly and flexible...but that sometimes disturbs other. The group that booked before us arrived far late and even though were ready, they rode before us. Not a big deal, but there is nothing in the area where you go to spend time while waiting, not even restrooms.us

Enjoyable

I am not really a horseback rider - we were with friends that wanted to go. I did get on a horse and go for a SHORT ride down the beach. I think this is a great way to spend some slow quality time with a mate.

I would give it a zero if I could
Sep 2014 • Family
More than an hour late for ride with no apologies. I would have left but daughter begged me to stay. Crew was filthy and smoking cigarettes and included a filthy shoeless boy under 10. They were nonchalant about horse waste on thxe beach. My daughter's saddle did not have stirrups so she was very uncomfortable and had limited ability to of control her horse. Beach was covered in trash it looked like a set from a post apocalyptic movie about an environmental disaster. Shameful business and shame on Freeport for allowing this environmental disaster on their beach!

27 HORSES RESCUED/OWNER CHARGED
Jan 2015 • Solo
tThank God for Habitat for Horses , this article was posted Jan 22, 2015 It maybe verified with Habitat for horses and with Galveston Police Dept. The owner was charged with neglect and 27 horses were seized and taken Habitat for horses . 3 of the 27 were in fair shape the others in very bad shape. This is not the first time this business has been fined. If in doubt you can verify this and more.

Wonderful outing
Jan 2015 • Couples
My wife and I just had the best time riding Hidalgo and Baby. They were well trained and the trail boss (CJ) took the time to explain everything very well. We are thinking about making a yearly thing for our anniversary. THANKS S-N-G!!!

Pick up the phone!!! Do you listen to your voicemails?
Jan 2015 • Couples
Been trying to get ahold of someone for almost a month now. Have called different days at different times to try to get through. Left two or three voicemails. At this point our vacation is in less than a week, and you can bet a certain other place nearby will be getting our business. Please get off your facebook and answer your phones, and your business might not be doing so badly that you are constantly posting begging for donations of money and supplies. Just a suggestion.

Awesome Family Outing!!
Dec 2014 • Family
I wanted to do something fun and memorable with the kids over winter break. A friend recommended horseback riding on the beach with S-n-G, so we decided to go. I had my 15 and 5 year old boys, it was their first time riding and both of them had a blast! T.J. our guide, was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and helpful and he was really good with the horses. Me and my youngest rode Baby, and she was perfect for us, very gentle and followed directions easily. T.J. and my oldest rode Silver and Quitta, and they even went for a good trot in the ocean and we took pictures. Afterwards they got to feed the horses apples and carrots. If you've never gone before, I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed! My kids are still raving about their ride and showing off the pictures. I will definitely go back and recommend S-n-G Horseback Riding to all my friends!

Fair weather riders
Dec 2014
Was very disappointed, everything was set to go. We called for directions and they told us that they had canceled our ride. If we hadn't called they wouldn't have told us they had canceled! Their reason for canceling was because it was to wet and cold. It had rained lightly the day before but it was dry today. I live up north and own horses and 55 degrees and cloudy is not dangerous. Don't expect them to go out on a chilly day.
