If you say your tour is going to start at a certain time please start it at that time. Have admin staff there to help you validate the tickets. Dash got there right around the tour start time. He talked and then had to validate everyone's ticket. It was a huge group. This ate more time of the tour. We... More

"Original Ghost Tour on the Strand" Several tours are offered by Dash Beardsley Ghost Tours of Galveston Island. We tried the Original Ghost Tour on the Strand. It was led by a woman tour guide. While I had hoped for a tour led by Dash Beardsley himself, our guide thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Our guide was very knowledgeable abut the... More

Went to a 9:30 cemetery tour hoping for more of a haunted/spooky type tour. It was more just a historical type tour which would actually have been better in the daytime. Not what we were hoping for. Tour guide was unenthusiastic and seemed to only know what he had memorized. Also seemed to fudge on the details when asked questions.... More

If you go, pay close attention to the information on the ticket about how to getting to the meeting place. Otherwise it's hard to find. Bring good walking shoes as this is a definite walking tour. We went on the tour expecting more myths and legends. We got some good history stories but not as in depth as we had... More

The tour was a nice way to hear about the history of Galveston and the different stages of the island's ups and downs. It actually ran for over the two hours, and that was with minimal questions. First half hour was just sitting on the steps of the Railroad Museum listening to about three stories. The tour mainly only goes... More

My family had a great time learning about Galveston's history and legends. Sara was delightful. Very knowledgable and entertaining. The walk was great and we saw the Strand and learn about its buildings. The is no hunting for the paranormal and so I was very happen. I want to learn the history and a bit about the dark side of... The 3 of us - 2 adults & a 13 year-old - took the basic original tour. Our guide, Kimber, was friendly and outgoing. She obviously had done research on her own, in addition to the scripted text, which she admitted to up front when we were told that no recordings were allowed. The tour meets outside the Railroad Museum... More

Family of four met Kimber, our tour guide, on a Friday night at 7:30pm in front of The Strand's historic rail road station building. About 10 others joined our tour. We took the "original ghost tour". We found the tour very interesting, learning about Galveston's history and the reasons why this area has reports of many hauntings. We found Kimber... More
