This is a one hour, narrated tour of Galveston Island. It is both educational and fun! We cover about 15 miles of the island on both land and sea!

This was an okay tour with a nice and friendly driver/tour guide. They set up right on the Seawall between the two piers and we caught a 4 pm tour. It was very inexpensive and a good value. Unfortunately the PA system wasn't the best and some very rude passengers talked loudly throughout the tour so we really couldn't hear... More

The tour was fun, informative and reasonable. We really liked the captain. He told us a lot of interesting facts and was always keeping us updated as to where we were. Would recommend this to our friends.

We took the tour yesterday morning. Had a great time. Very sweet girl selling tickets, and the driver was very good. Learned a lot more about the history of the island.

My main goal was to ride on this WW2 duck boat no matter where it went. I wasn't prepared for the tour and commentary which was fantastic! The duck boat rambles around some old parts of the island and pointing out cotton gin warehouses and things of long ago - things I've seen many times but didn't know their history.... More

The Duck Boat tours are quite informative. A great deal of history can be learned while enjoying a ride throughout the streets of Galveston. Our tour guide was awesome and shared with us a great deal beyond what was expected on the tour. If you have not taken a ride on the Duck, try it out.

My wife and I decided to try this tour since we have had good luck with them in other cities but I have to say we were HIGHLY disappointed when we arrived at the pick up point 30 minutes early and no duck was there. Granted it was raining a little bit but a little rain shouldn't stop this tour... More

The duck vehicles were built in the 1940's and it seems the booking and PA systems for the tour also come from this era. You cannot book this tour online or on the phone. You must arrive in person. We could not hear the guide because the speaker was broken. The water part of the tour was very limited. I... More

......about Galveston. I now have been on all of the Galveston city/historic tours. I did enjoy the hour and since we didn't go "straight to the Strand" I learned things about the "new" route. My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very hot but the breeze kept us relatively cool.

We've done duck tours in other towns and of course you get the charismatic driver, fun facts and history, but I was disappointed with the water part of the tour. You do one loop in a small marina / inlet, so most of the tour is actually spent driving around the city. Either way, our daughter had fun, maybe wish... More
