the rain forest is really humid but worth the sweat. Aquarium was wonderful too. It could take a whole day to experience it all. There are no sit down restaurants unless you go to the hotel.

I gave thousands of tours there when docents showed the house and gave an hour long talk about each room and the family. It makes me giggle when I read the recent reviews that the old ladies selling tickets are being mean to people. The...More

This was a very interesting tour. It was self guided audio. There were options for private tours. This was a very affordable activity. You get to learn the history of the Moody family as well as a lot of history about Galveston. The tour is...More

We love the interior of the old mansion. The tour was great with fun information about the family. Lots of history here. On the audio tour we liked Mary;s Tour best.

I have to admit that my wife wanted to see this mansion when we were in Galveston. However, I found it very interesting and I really enjoyed the tour. I don't think that small children would find this place very interesting. The tour was only...More

This was a very interesting place to visit. Beautiful grounds, impressive woodwork and original decor in this old mansion. Did the audio tour and learned a lot about the Galveston area and the Moody family. Very reasonable - Highly recommend!

Smaller than I think, I just saw the outside. I hope the inside is better, I heard that it was interesting. Still pretty tho, I just didn't see why everyone was talking about it.

My spouse and I enjoyed the self-guided tour of the Moody Mansion. The architecture is stunning. However, I only gave it 3 stars because the staff at the ticket sales desk were extremely rude. There were two old ladies selling tickets and giving overviews of...More

My family and I toured the mansion on March 11, 2019. It was beautiful to walk thru and see all the historic furnishings. The only disappointing part is that is not longer a guided tour. They hand you a radio to use thru the house....More

There is a cost to tour the mansion. I can't remember exactly, but it was in the $10 to $12 range for adults.
